Help us celebrate 250 years of Independence!

Our annual Fourth of July Yard Sale is set for Saturday, July 4th.

Expect at least 100 vendors with all kinds of treasures. Breakfast, lunch, Fried Turner ham sandwiches and chicken BBQ.

If you wish to be a vendor, you can come to the park anytime between 12pm on July 1, up until the morning of the sale to claim your spot. Please note that It is first come first served, so if you wait until the last minute, there's a good chance you won't get the spot that you want.

When you come to claim your spot, please bring stakes with your name on it so that we know which one is yours.

The money will be collected on the day of the sale. It is $20 per 30x30 spot. If you choose to park your vehicle in one of the designated spots, you'll be required to pay for that spot as well. There is parking elsewhere, so you do not have to pay for parking if you choose not to.

Can't wait to see you there!

Joe Adolph, installed last night at our monthly dinner meeting as a full-time member. We have all known Joe as an Associate member, big helper for events for many years, and very active in other community services. So glad to have him on full-time.

The Fulks Run community lost a beloved member, Miles Turner.
Miles was born in Fulks Run in 1934 and graduated from Broadway High School in 1952.

He and his wife Marcella owned and operated Turner Hams/Fulks Run Grocery for 27 years. He was also an honorary member of the Fulks Run Ruritan Club for 57 years, and maintained both the old and the new parks.

For those who knew Miles outside of the store and the park, you know how much he enjoyed flying radio-controlled airplanes. He has the distinction of being the only person to land an airplane on the store roof…He’s also the only person to take off from the store roof!

If you have memories of Miles and Marcella working here, please share in the comments; we would love to hear.

Here is the link to his obituary.

At our monthly dinner meeting, Tuesday, Marilee Billhimer (right) receives the 2025 Ruritan of the Year Award from Rose Harper. Marilee does a lot of work for us as both the Club Secretary and helping out with fundraising like working the kitchens for the Lawn Party and Yard Sale. Also, we welcomed our newest member, Gretchen King and are looking forward to her joining us in our pursuit of Fellowship, Goodwill and Community Service.
