We are so excited to be starting this fun and informative page.

Honoring Stephen Long 📚 Born in Pocomoke at the end of the Civil War, Stephen Long's journey led him from Massachusetts back to the Eastern Shore. A graduate of Lincoln University, he returned to teach, starting at Fairmount, Maryland. In 1914, he became the Supervisor of Colored Schools in Worcester County, leaving a lasting impact on education. Today, we celebrate his legacy and dedication to learning.
