Last week, Chamber members enjoyed a unique evening of connection, conversation, and local history during our Business After Hours hosted by Museums of Western Colorado at Cross Orchards Historic Site.

Attendees had the opportunity to tour the historic property, learn about the rich agricultural heritage of the Grand Valley, sample homemade apple cider, and connect with fellow business and community leaders in a truly one-of-a-kind setting.

Business After Hours is more than just networking, it's an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, discover local organizations, and strengthen the connections that make our business community thrive. Whether you're looking to expand your network, learn something new, or simply spend time with fellow professionals, these monthly gatherings offer a valuable way to stay engaged.

A special thank you to the Museums of Western Colorado team for their hospitality and for sharing the stories, history, and experiences that make Cross Orchards such a treasured community asset.

Congratulations to another of the Fruita Foundation scholarship recipients, Maggie - a recent Fruita Monument High School graduate.

Congratulations to Maggie Meyer, our 2026 Student Service Fruita Foundation Scholarship recipients!

This fall, Maggie will attend Colorado Mesa University to pursue a degree in Nursing, combining her passion for serving others with a commitment to improving healthcare in her community.

Throughout high school, Maggie completed more than 350 volunteer hours while actively serving through Interact Club, National Honor Society, HopeWest Kids, Community Hospital, youth basketball programs, and as a Wildcat Guide. Her dedication to service has made a lasting impact on countless individuals throughout the Grand Valley.

One of Maggie's most meaningful experiences was volunteering in the Emergency Department at Community Hospital. What began as an opportunity to give back quickly became the moment she discovered her future career path. Watching nurses provide compassionate care in high-pressure situations inspired her to pursue nursing and showed her the profound difference healthcare professionals can make in people's lives.

Another experience that deeply shaped Maggie was volunteering at HopeWest Kids' Camp Good Grief. As a child, Maggie attended the camp after the loss of her baby brother. Years later, she returned as a volunteer, helping children who were navigating their own grief journeys. By listening, encouraging, and supporting campers, she was able to give back to a program that once helped her heal. It was a powerful full-circle moment that reinforced the importance of compassion, empathy, and service.

Maggie believes that access to healthcare should be available to everyone, regardless of economic circumstances. As a future nurse, she hopes to provide both quality medical care and emotional support while advocating for resources that make healthcare more accessible for all members of our community.

We are incredibly proud of Maggie's dedication to service, her heart for helping others, and the impact she is already making. Please join us in congratulating Maggie and wishing her success as she begins this exciting next chapter at Colorado Mesa University!

Advocacy isn’t just about policy, it’s about connection.

At the Fruita Area Chamber, we believe in creating intentional spaces where businesses and community leaders can come together, have real conversations, and build solutions that move our region forward.

The State of the Community Breakfast is a reflection of that commitment.
- We bring together local, county, and state leaders
- We create opportunities for direct, face-to-face conversations
- We help ensure the voice of business is heard in the decisions that shape our future

With leaders like City of Fruita Mayor Matthew Breman, Mesa County Commissioner Cody Davis, Colorado House Representatives Matthew Soper and Rick Taggart, and Colorado Senator Janice Rich joining us, this event is more than an update, it’s a conversation.

And your voice matters in it.

Join us on June 30 from 8:00 am - 10:00 am at Absolute Prestige Ranch, ask questions, share your perspective, and be part of shaping what’s next.

Register today at fruitachamber.org

Last week, our members joined business professionals from across the region for Chamber Day on the Mountain at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park, alongside eight partnering Chambers of Commerce.

With more than 350 attendees, the event provided an incredible opportunity to build new connections, strengthen existing relationships, and celebrate the power of regional collaboration. Our members enjoyed an evening filled with networking, community engagement, and plenty of fun.

We are grateful to Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park for hosting this annual event and creating a unique space for businesses from across Western Colorado to come together. Events like Chamber Day on the Mountain remind us that strong regional partnerships help create greater opportunities for businesses, communities, and economic growth throughout our area.

We enjoyed meeting many new faces, reconnecting with familiar friends, and representing the Fruita business community alongside our regional Chamber partners. We look forward to continuing these valuable connections throughout the year!

At the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce, we are proud to celebrate businesses like .gardens - a young, family-owned operation helping keep agriculture rooted right here in our community. 🌱

Owned and operated by Leah and Chris, Win Gardens is a wholesale greenhouse based in Fruita supplying beautiful annuals, hanging baskets, herbs, vegetables, succulents, patio pots, and more to businesses throughout Western Colorado. But beyond the plants, what truly stands out is their commitment to preserving agricultural traditions, supporting local businesses, and investing in the future of farming and growing in our region.

As a family-run business, Win Gardens represents the heart of what makes our community special, hardworking entrepreneurs who are building something meaningful while staying connected to the land, the seasons, and the people around them. Their passion for agriculture and dedication to quality service continues to make a positive impact across Western Colorado.

We are grateful to have Win Gardens as part of our Chamber community and appreciate the care, knowledge, and local pride they bring to Fruita each season. Businesses like theirs help strengthen our local economy while carrying forward the traditions that make our area unique.

Thank you, Leah and Chris, for all you do to help our agricultural community continue to grow! 💚

Congratulations to another recent Fruita Monument High School graduate, Abby! We are so proud!

Congratulations to Abby, one of this year's Fruita Foundation Business Scholarship recipients!

This fall, Abby will attend Baylor University, where she will continue pursuing her passion for leadership, business, and community impact.

Throughout high school, Abby has been deeply involved in leadership and service. As a three-year member of FBLA, she earned district recognition five times, placed first in two events this year, and represented her chapter at the Colorado State Conference as a voting delegate. She also serves as Fruita Monument FBLA's Vice President of Communication, helping keep members informed and engaged.

Many in our community may recognize Abby from her internship with the Fruita Area Chamber of Commerce last summer, where she helped support the Fruita Farmers Market and community events. That experience sparked her passion for event management and showed her the impact that businesses and nonprofit organizations can have when they work together to strengthen a community.

Abby has also dedicated countless hours to serving Fruita through the Youth Action Council, where she has volunteered at community events, mentored new members, presented to City Council, and helped provide youth input on local projects.

Looking ahead, Abby hopes to build a career in nonprofit event management, creating programs and events that bring neighborhoods, businesses, and families together. She believes one of the biggest challenges communities face today is the loss of personal connection and local engagement. Her goal is to help strengthen community pride, support local businesses, and create opportunities that bring people together.

During her time with the Chamber, Abby demonstrated exceptional professionalism, creativity, and leadership. We are incredibly proud of all she has accomplished and excited to see the impact she will make in the future.

Please join us in congratulating Abby and wishing her success as she begins this next chapter!
