All unique and all just doing it -(JDI) James 1:22 - Honor and Respect Always! One thing I think we can all agree on is if we are bit older now, we have learned a few things in our lives. "Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable--if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything p
raiseworthy--dwell on these things (Phil. 4:8)." By Just Doing It, we can encourage one another, lift one another up, support each other and hopefully even pass some of our wisdom on to all who might benefit from the lessons we have learned. Combined, Veterans and Senior Adults (SA) have a lot in common. Honor, respect, duty, service, putting others first seem to be traits especially shared by these two groups. Maybe Veterans, no matter their age, learn early on what older folks already know. To care for our widows, to honor our mothers and fathers, to care for the oppressed, orphans, and the poor is important. What we can do together is more than we could ever do alone. Some Veterans and SA are doing well, some ok, and some not well at all. We take care of each other by being "One" where the Lord is our "Number One" and we are in Him who helps us be a miracle to others. Moving mountains seems impossible for those who need them moved in their lives, but these same mountains seem more possible for us to move who become a team wanting to help. Just doing it is the right attitude. It is a "can do" attitude. We advance and do because it is what He would do. And we will never know what is possible unless we try. So Vets helping Vets, SA helping SA, SA helping Vets, and all of us helping the world around us, young and old. This FB page can serve, Lord willing, as a source of encouragement to all who venture or happen onto it. It is a place where information can be seen by all, which can give us greater confidence to see what is possible when God's love, by His power, is applied near and far through us. If you want to feel good, find enlightenment, become better educated, convicted, lifted up, given hope, see progress, help you to not feel alone, I pray this page will be a place where the Truth is found for you, and where goodness, praiseworthy, and beautiful things happening can and will be discussed just like Philippians 4:8 encourages us to. Let us battle darkness with the light that Jesus is shining all around us.
