Good morning!
This week’s weather was crazy! I hope all of you stayed warm and avoided going outside.Next week Read to Succeed! will be closed on Monday due to Allegany Public Schools being closed for Presidents Day! If you are still looking for more ways to help your child with vigorous school work and trying homework assignments, Read to Succeed! has more openings on Wednesdays and Thursdays! So check your schedule and sign your kid up! Please like and share this post to spread the word to friends!

Read to Succeed! restarted this week and it was a great success! We are now mentoring 22 children at three different locations; Allegany College of Maryland library, Frostburg State University Library, and the South Cumberland Library Branch. We are always looking for more children to join the program. We specialize in mentoring children on a one on one basis. If your child is between the grades of kindergarten and 8th, have trouble with reading, and need help with math then sign them up through the link provided.

Hello everyone, the Read to Succeed! program is back in session! Read to Succeed! is an AmeriCorps literacy program that offers help with math, reading, and other general studies. Our program accepts children from kindergarten all the way up to eighth grade. It is a free program and all you have to do is sign your child up through the link at the bottom of the post. We accept applications all year long so feel free to sign your kid up! Right now we have two locations where Read to Succeed! runs and that is Frostburg State University in the Lewis J. Ort Library, and Allegany College of Maryland’s Donald L. Alexander Library. If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me at this email address [email protected].

Today was a pretty nice February day, so some of our member families decided to head outside for study time!!

Due to the water main break in the Cumberland School District, if you feel that your safety is at risk and/or your normal schedules are affected and your child is not able to attend Read to Succeed! today, please let us know!
