Please send prayers to Carson! He is headed up to the hospital for his 4 month post-chemo bloodwork. If all looks good, we are meeting with the surgeon today to schedule his port-removal surgery. This Mama is very anxious and that will probably never change. 🙏🎗️🧡💛

Thank you all for the many prayers and kind words! Carson’s labs looked great today! 🙌 The only slightly abnormal result was regarding his kidneys and they are hoping that increasing his water intake will take care of that. We will meet with the surgical team on June 5th to schedule his port-removal surgery. I am so very thankful that his body is starting to heal and producing normal, healthy cells.. we just need prayers that it continues! We are blessed to have so many wonderful people praying for him 🙏🧡🎗️

Carson is finally recovering from all of those viruses and getting his energy back. Today was his opening day of baseball and his team (Marlins) had a great 2 games! Carson still needs all of the prayers that his bloodwork on May 6th looks good, then we can meet with the surgical team to schedule his port removal surgery. I really do admire his strength and bravery 🎗️🙏⚾️🩵🩷

Carson had his scheduled monthly clinic appt today. He had labs drawn, got his IV antibiotic, and had to do a neuro-cognitive assessment. His labs are still a bit wonky (but NO blast/cancer cells 🙌), but the doctor reassured us that is from the 3 viruses that he is still fighting off. If his labs look good next month (May 6th), we will meet with the surgery team to schedule his port-removal surgery! Once his port is out, we no longer have to go to the ER for every fever. Please continue to pray that Carson gets over this sickness soon and his bone marrow can start to heal properly. Please also pray that his body continues to make ONLY normal, healthy cells 🙏🎗️🧡.

Well, Carson does not have any infections, but he did test positive for Covid, influenza B, and influenza A. Now, the Covid and Flu B are most likely old viruses that are still lingering in his system, but the Flu A is a new virus. My poor boy is emotionally drained from being sick… he is finally finished with chemo and he thought he would be on the upswing, not two ER visits in 3 weeks 😩. Praying he can relax and recover during spring break 🙏🎗️☀️

Carson arrived at the ER in Morgantown around 430 this morning. They did all of his bloodwork to check for infections, check his blood counts, and swabbed for a virus panel. His bacterial level was at a normal level, so we were able to rule out infection. His labs were a bit wonky, but we suspect that’s because of the viruses; he tested positive for Covid and Flu B; poor boy 😢. But, beyond all of that, there were no blast (cancer) cells detected! Thank you, Lord. 🙌🎗️🧡
We were running on stress and zero sleep today, but we survived! Thanks for all of the prayers and kind words 🩷

Well.. say an an extra little prayer for Carson. He was supposed to head up to WVU in the morning for his scheduled check up, but he woke around 3am with a fever. He and his Dad are heading up to the ER so they can make sure the fever isn’t caused by an infection in his port 🙏💔🎗️

Tonight, I am very anxious and my heart is heavy. Tomorrow morning, Carson heads to WVU for his one month post-chemo bloodwork. I am trying so hard to have faith and think positively, but those dark thoughts of relapse are always swirling around in my mind; I’m afraid they always will be. Lord, please protect my baby and keep him cancer free. AMEN. 🙏🧡🎗️
