🌈✨ FROM THE VALLEYS OF RURAL VIRGINIA TO THE STREETS OF NEW YORK CITY✨🌈
Power Safe Place Resource Center of Virginia packed up, hit the road, and showed UP at NYC’s Harlem Pride 2026 and we are so proud!
We came from the mountains and the hollows of rural Virginia to stand in the heart of one of the world’s greatest Pride celebrations, because our community deserves to be SEEN no matter how far we have to travel to make that happen. 💪🏽
At New York City’s Harlem Pride, we were on the ground spreading **critical HIV and AIDS awareness** and meeting people where they are, sharing resources, and breaking down stigma one conversation at a time. We also came to celebrate and uplift our Trans siblings, our Nonbinary and Gender Nonconforming family, our Gay and Le***an community, our Bisexual and Pansexual family, our Q***r community, and our Intersex siblings because Pride is about ALL of us, and every single identity in this community is worthy of love, protection, and joy. 🏳️⚧️🏳️🌈❤️
To the LGBTQ+ community in rural Virginia — we see you. We went to New York carrying your names, your stories, and your hearts with us. You are not forgotten. You are not alone.
To New York City — thank you for welcoming us with open arms. The energy, the love, and the power in those streets reminded us exactly why this work matters.
We will keep showing up. We will keep traveling. We will keep fighting for health equity, for Trans rights, for Nonbinary and Intersex visibility, for Bisexual and Pansexual inclusion, for q***r joy, for all of it. 💕
