American National Chairman Mark Clark is urging Riders to take part in the Legion's .
“Whether you walk, run, or ride 250 miles, I encourage every Rider and every ALR Chapter to participate and to lead the way in their community,” Clark said. “As National Commander Dan Wiley often states; ‘we are better together’, and the ALR has been proving that for more than 30 years. So let’s get moving and let’s do all we can to support the USA 250 Challenge.”
And if you are taking part in the challenge, please let us know. Share your story and photos in the comments below, or email [email protected].

Before we wrap up this awesome party, there is a LONG list of folks we need to thank who helped make it a success. In no particular order, here goes:

The members of ALR Chapter #53 who worked their tails off all weekend

Giles B. Cook American Legion Post 53. Our home post.

Sons of the American Legion #53. Carl Pugh, who cooked all the awesome breakfast and lunch. Dan Remillard and Danny “Tonto” Whitsell, who were instrumental in setting up the event area.

The American Legion Auxiliary #53. All those decadent desserts!

Holly Leach and the Shenandoah Valley Axe Throwing Company for their hospitality and the spaghetti dinner Saturday evening.

Super 8 motel and the Baymont motel.

The Town of Front Royal for allowing us to shut down W 8th St.

L&B Portables for the toilets

Blue Ridge Shadows Golf Club for the donations of greens fee & carts

Art Robinson and HogWash for detailing service and his new venture, sauces and salsa

Skyline Harley-Davidson for the gift cards

Andrick’s Gifts and Collectables for the gift cards

State Commander Scott Maddrea

State ALR director Randy “BB” Gunn

And, of course, all y’all who came from around the commonwealth to enjoy “The best party anywhere” (borrowed that from the Sturgis Buffalo Chip Campground)

Probably missed someone, and we are sorry.
