Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry will be distributing free food at Chester Gap Volunteer Fire Department Wednesday, October 20 from 1:30 to 3 p.m. Chester Gap, Lake of Front Royal, Point o' Woods and area residents: Are you unable to make it into Front Royal to pick up food at the pantry? Here's your chance to receive a box of non-perishable food plus a bag of hardy produce a little closer to home!

We are so grateful to Rheanna Schroeder, who had a wonderful idea as to how to celebrate her birthday. She organized her Girl Scout Troop to assemble Birthday Bags containing the fixings of a birthday cake, birthday accessories and other fun gifts and donated them all to the Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry! Clients who have a birthday in the next few weeks can stop by and receive one of these special bags (while supplies last). Thank you so much to these imaginative, compassionate young women!

Once a month Catholic Charities Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry supplies 4,100 lbs. of food to migrant workers throughout the Shenandoah Valley -- all through the efforts of our loyal volunteers! Having loaded up 165 boxes of food, they're now on their way to unload it all...and, yet, they're smiling!

A huge thanks to the Lane family for celebrating Advent by organizing a neighborhood food drive for the Catholic Charities Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry. They collected 123 lbs. of our much-needed core groceries and graciously delivered them right to our door!

Catholic Charities Loaves and Fishes Food Pantry will be OPEN TUESDAY, DECEMBER 22, FROM 1 TO 3:15 P.M. Due to the holidays, the pantry will be closed from Wednesday, December 23, 2020, through Monday, January 4, 2021. We will reopen at 1 p.m. Tuesday, January 5, 2021.
