Sometimes God answers our prayers differently than we expect.
After our very first Foster Family Day, I found myself focusing on the number of families we hoped would come instead of celebrating the families God sent.
I wanted to reach more people.
I wanted bigger numbers.
I wanted to do more.
Then my pastor reminded me of something I'll never forget:
"God isn't looking at the numbers. He's looking at your obedience and your consistency."
That perspective changed everything.
Because it's easy to believe success is measured by attendance, followers, donations, or growth.
But God often measures success differently.
Three families came.
Three families were loved.
Three families were supported.
Three families mattered.
And if those were the families God entrusted to us, then our responsibility was to serve them well.
At Rise Beyond Scars, we're learning that faithfulness comes before growth and consistency matters more than numbers.
So we'll keep showing up.
We'll keep serving.
We'll keep trusting.
And we'll leave the numbers to God.
