Update 5/29/2026 Look at Maggie go! This sweet girl has been putting in the work, and it is paying off.

She has therapy twice a week. Once with Dr. Grand at Animal Care Center at Stonebridge Ranch she receives acupuncture, and then she does underwater treadmill work, red-light laser therapy, PEMF therapy, chiropractic care, and massage with Dr. Maddox at MVP Rehabilitation and Integrative Services.

Maggie has been getting stronger and continues to make progress every week. We are so proud of how far she has come and incredibly thankful for the amazing team helping her along the way.

Please keep cheering Maggie on as she continues her journey!

Update 5/28/2026 Tater is still waiting for his forever home, and we know the right family is out there for him. Tater is a loyal, loving dog who’s happiest just being near his people. He is fantastic with kids and forms strong bonds with his people.

Tater enjoys daily walks and does well on a leash. He’s potty trained, kennel trained, and has full run of his foster home because he’s respectful and non-destructive. He’s an easy dog to live with and loves a calm routine where he can relax and spend time with his humans.

Tater would do best as the only pet, as he can be selective with other dogs.

Tater is 5½ years old and we are guessing he is an English Bulldog/Pit Bull mix. If you’re interested in meeting or adopting Tater, you can apply here: http://www.rescuerowinc.org/

Update 5/28/2026 Mouse has been on her medication for a week now and we are already seeing a difference! We know this is not a permanent solution, but we are so thankful to see some improvement and that the fluid in her brain seems to be subsiding a little.

She still has a long road ahead, but we want to thank everyone who has been following her journey, supporting her, and keeping her in their thoughts. Please continue to send Mouse all the love and prayers as we take things one day at a time.

We welcomed Todd to Rescue Row a few weeks ago and have spent that time getting to know him. Todd was at risk of euthanasia at a local shelter before making his way to Rescue Row, where he’s now getting the second chance he deserves while searching for the perfect family to call his own.

Todd is sweet, playful, and adorable! He needs an active canine playmate in his forever home that can match his energy. He is approximately 1 year old and currently weighs 23 lbs. According to Wisdom Panel, Todd is quite the mix, 21% Siberian Husky, 15% Chihuahua, 12% Border Collie, 11% Australian Cattle Dog, plus a sprinkle of 12 additional breeds.

He’s been working hard on potty training and manners and already sleeps through the night like a champ.

If you think Todd could be the perfect addition to your family, come meet him this Saturday at our event at Hollywood Feed in McKinney on Craig Drive from 11–2, or submit an application at www.rescuerowinc.org.

Update 5/27/2026 Milo is looking for his person, and we want to be honest about the good, the bad, and the challenging parts of who he is so we can find him the right home.

Let’s start with the good! Milo is an incredibly easy houseguest. He is quiet, kennels on command, sleeps through the night in bed with his foster mom, and has a very calm demeanor. He loves to snuggle, doesn’t destroy things, eats alongside the other dogs in his foster home without any food aggression, is wonderful for nail trims, is potty trained and walks great on a leash. He truly enjoys his daily walks!

Now for the harder parts. Milo gets nervous in the car and will shake during rides. He also barks at the doorbell and when visitors come over. While he peacefully coexists with other dogs, he doesn’t really seek out their companionship.

The biggest challenge is that Milo does not do well with men and may bite if he feels uncomfortable. He has made progress with his foster dad and will occasionally jump into his lap, but building that trust has taken time and patience. Because of this, we feel Milo would do best in a single female home. Situations involving male visitors, such as repair workers or guests, would require Milo to be safely kenneled.

We know this may not paint Milo in the best light, but the truth is he is a really wonderful dog who simply needs the right environment to feel safe and secure.

Milo is an almost 6 year old Chihuahua mix weighing 15 pounds. If you think you may be Milo’s person, applications can be submitted at www.rescuerowinc.org.

Update 5/26/2026 We received Sloan’s DNA results and according to Wisdom Panel, she is 25% Patterdale Terrier, 20% Dachshund, 18% Pembroke Welsh Corgi, 12% Border Terrier, 10% Beagle, plus a few other breeds mixed in.

She has the playful, curious energy of a terrier, the loyalty and charm of a Dachshund and Corgi, and the sweet nature you’d expect from a Beagle. Somehow, all of those traits came together into one seriously lovable dog.

Sloan is affectionate, fun, and always wants to be near her people. She would do best in a home with children 10 years and older, and she would also love a canine companion to spend her days with, whether that’s playing, relaxing, or simply having a buddy nearby.

She thrives in a house setting rather than an apartment. Having previously lived in an apartment, Sloan can be vocal when she hears noises outside the door.

Sloan is 7 years old and weighs 18 lbs. If you are interested in meeting or adopting this sweet girl, you can apply at www.rescuerowinc.org.

Please help us welcome Walter to Rescue Row!

This sweet 13 week old puppy showed up at someone’s home three weeks ago. After searching for an owner and being unable to locate one, they reached out for help so Walter could be safe and cared for.

Walter is now settling into his foster home and doing wonderfully. He’s making great progress with potty training and is already sleeping through the night in his kennel like a champ! He absolutely loves his canine foster siblings and is learning puppy manners quickly.

We believe Walter is a German Shepherd mix, and at just 13 weeks old, he’s already a big boy weighing 40 pounds!

We will continue sharing updates as we learn more about this handsome pup. Welcome to Rescue Row, Walter!

Update 5/25/2026 Ziggy is a little guy with a big personality. He loves being with his people and will happily follow them everywhere. He is always ready to cuddle, play ball in the backyard, go for walks, or ride along in the car. Ziggy is an active puppy who enjoys both his foster family and the other dogs in the home, and he will need an adopter who is home most of the day as well as another dog in the home.

Ziggy has made tremendous progress in foster care, but he still needs continued work when meeting new people. He can be reactive and may even try to bite, especially if he is being held and someone approaches him, so he would not do well in an apartment setting. He will need a patient adopter committed to positive reinforcement, proper introductions, and continued training. He also does best with slow introductions to new dogs, but once comfortable, he is very playful and dog-friendly.

His foster family has been working hard on his fearful and protective behaviors around strangers, and Ziggy continues to improve every day. He is a smart puppy who wants to please and has so much potential with the right guidance and structure.

Ziggy is 8 months old, weighs 8.6 pounds, and we are guessing he is a Chihuahua/Yorkie mix. Any children in the home should be 13 years or older. If you are interested in adopting Ziggy, applications can be submitted at www.rescuerowinc.org

Update 5/24/2026 It’s something you never quite get used to, the incredible resilience of rescue dogs and their ability to heal, both physically and emotionally. Oliver was found alone on the streets, another innocent victim of neglect and abandonment. In addition to severe bilateral ear infections, this sweet senior's skin was like bare elephant skin, hard with deep wrinkles, dry, and incredibly itchy. He was clearly uncomfortable, and no one could have blamed Oliver if he had lost trust in people. But rescue dogs have an amazing way of recognizing kindness, and Oliver has met every bit of care with love and gratitude.

Beyond his handsome looks, he is an incredibly sweet and affectionate boy with the most expressive brown eyes. His favorite place is curled up beside his person on the couch or in a chair, soaking up all the love he can get. Oliver rides well in the car, is comfortable in a crate, walks nicely on a leash, and has a calm, quiet nature. He gets along beautifully with both cats and dogs, loves people, and is fully housebroken, he will even scratch at the door when he needs to go outside. The only thing that unsettles him is thunder and lightning, and during storms he will come looking for comfort and reassurance.

Oliver weighs 14 lbs and is on a strict salmon-based diet to help manage his allergies. He also receives a monthly Cytopoint injection.

Oliver is nearing the end of his medical journey and will soon be ready to find a forever home. Stay tuned for more updates!
