Multiple followers have requested that I share the following:
🚨 ATTENTION PRIVATE PROPERTY OWNERS WITH RIVER ACCESS TO GUADALUPE 🚨
We want to make you aware of an individual named Caleb Harper, who has been impersonating a search and rescue team leader in the Comal County area, specifically near Spring Branch and Bulverde. He falsely claims to be working with authorities, to have horseback teams, cadaver dogs, and full clearance to search riverbanks — none of which are verified or legitimate.
🔺 Important Facts:
• He has not been cleared by authorities to operate in our area.
• He has been reported for trespassing, being disrespectful to landowners and volunteers, and making false claims.
• He’s known to exaggerate his team size, saying 50–100 people will arrive, then only showing up with a few individuals.
• There have also been reports of items going missing after his visits.
• He will try to intimidate landowners by claiming they are not allowed to perform activities on their own property and request to camp out with his “team.”
Fortunately, our community talks. His actions were quickly uncovered by local landowners and volunteers who shared stories and experiences. Authorities have been made aware and have communicated that he is no longer permitted to search riverbanks or operate in Comal County.
💥 Please remain vigilant. If approached by this individual or someone making similar claims:
• Do not allow access to your land.
• Document all interactions.
• Report immediately to local law enforcement or Comal County officials.
