Always a powerful event! 🇺🇸🏆

Start Your Day the Special “K” Way!

When God gives a promise, we often expect it to arrive like a package—on time, neatly labeled, and with no assembly required. But the truth is, God’s promises usually unfold more like a process—slow, surprising, and forged in the furnace of faith.

The Promise is the Process 💖

On National Purple Heart Day, the Frisco Veterans Advisory Committee (FVAC) had the privilege of bringing our community together to recognize the men and women who have received our nation’s oldest military decoration - the Purple Heart. 💜

It was an extraordinary evening made even more meaningful by the presence of Purple Heart recipients, veterans and their families, community leaders, and our special guest, Medal of Honor recipient Florent Groberg. 🇺🇸

Perhaps the most powerful part of the evening was seeing generations together. Veterans surrounded by their families, children learning what service and sacrifice mean, and a community taking the time to simply say: we remember, we honor, and we are grateful. 🙏🏻

Thank you to Mayor Mark Hill, our community partners, sponsors, volunteers and everyone who helped make this year’s National Purple Heart Day Reception possible. 🏆

Most importantly, to our Purple Heart recipients and their families: Frisco remembers your sacrifice. It is our privilege to honor you. ❤️

At Frisco’s first veteran’s memorial, the polished granite VETERANS MEMORIAL URN donated by the FRISCO GARDEN CLUB was originally dedicated in 1948. Relocated to its current memorial site in 2004, it remains a lasting symbol of Frisco’s tradition of honoring its veterans. A new 2026 plaque now commemorates the Garden Club’s original gift and their enduring dedication to all who have served.

The cost of the plaque was paid by the Frisco Garden Club, along with donations from four FVAC members.
