YEA! Frisco - Young Entrepreneurs Academy YEA! Frisco is a joint venture between the Frisco Chamber of Commerce, Frisco Economic Development Corporation, and the Frisco Independent School District.

Founded in 2011. The Young Entrepreneurs Academy (YEA!) is a groundbreaking educational program that takes middle and high school students (ages 11-18) through the process of starting and running real businesses/social movements over the course of a full academic year. Students work in close cooperation with local leaders of industry, community members, and educators to develop ideas, write busine

ss plans, pitch to potential investors, obtain funding, register with governmental agencies, develop their brand, launch their business and interact with potential customers at their own tradeshow! By the end of the class, students own and operate fully functioning businesses/social movements that can be carried on after graduation. Students learn to make a job--not just take a job! YEA!’s direct mission is to help students embrace their passion, energy, creativity and talents, launch a venture, and view entrepreneurship as synonymous with success and freedom.

We had an incredibly special visit with the founder of Kayla Cares 4 Kids, and our YEA! Frisco entrepreneurs walked away inspired, energized, and ready to make an even bigger impact. Hearing firsthand how a simple idea can grow into a purpose-driven organization reminded our students that age is never a barrier to creating change. It’s about passion, consistency, and the willingness to serve others. Since graduating from YEA!, Kayla Abramowitz was named American Next Top Young Entrepreneur, has been featured on national television as well as in several national publications. What made this visit even more meaningful was Kayla’s willingness to step in as a mentor for our young entrepreneurs. Having leaders who not only share their story but also invest their time and guidance is what truly brings the YEA! experience to life. YEA!
