HUGE PROGRESS FOR TEXAS FIREFIGHTERS 🚒
We are proud to share this update from the Texas State Association of Fire Fighters (TSAFF) regarding a fight we’ve been winning together.
Just over a decade ago, a staggering 90% of firefighter cancer claims were denied by insurers. Today, thanks to relentless advocacy from the TSAFF and associations like ours right here in Frisco, that denial rate has plummeted to approximately 6%.
Why this matters:
Firefighters face unique risks every day, and line-of-duty cancer is a reality many of our brothers and sisters have had to face. For too long, the system meant to protect us was failing. Through legislative reforms and political advocacy over the last five years, we are finally seeing the medical care and support our members have earned actually being delivered.
The Work Continues:
While the trend is moving in the right direction, our work isn't finished until that denial rate is 0%.
• ✅ 28 fire-service bills passed over the last 5 sessions.
• ✅ $5 Million secured for cancer research.
• ✅ New protections for female firefighters.
The Frisco Firefighters Association remains committed to standing up for our members at the State Capitol and right here at home.

❤️ FRISCO: WE NEED YOUR HELP FOR A TINY WARRIOR

Meet Millie. She’s the daughter of one of our Frisco Fire families, and she’s about to undergo a life-changing open-heart surgery.

Between medical bills and the loss of a second income to provide Millie with 24/7 care, the Moores are facing a steep climb. We’re asking our Frisco neighbors to do what you do best—show up and support.

Every donation, prayer, and share helps clear the path for Millie’s recovery.

Please donate and share this post to help us reach our goal!
