Start Your Day the Special “K” Way!

If your desire as a creative is to just gain influence or impress people, you will never be fulfilled.

Even in creativity, when you know you’ve created something that’s honest to the Lord and to yourself, it doesn’t matter what others think. The beautiful thing is when we minister to the Lord solely out of a place of intimacy and sacrifice, the Lord naturally ushers us into the position we need to be. It’s okay to make goals and desire influence for kingdom impact, but we can never forget the importance of the secret place in His presence. It’s what guides and fuels us as creatives.

Yes, you were designed to create, but your creation is not who you are. No matter what you create, YOU are fearfully and wonderfully made! Don’t place your worth in your work. Only the Lord can reveal your true value.

Yesterday, we were blessed to hear Janet Bernstein’s personal message on faith at Fellowship Power Lunch — and honestly, words almost aren’t enough to capture it.

Janet’s story was raw. It was personal. It was the kind of testimony that makes a room go completely still.

She shared how she spent years holding so much in — building a wall, without even realizing it was a wall — until life finally asked her to tear it down. She talked about finding grace in the most unexpected places, and about a faith journey that didn’t look like anyone else’s: a Christian woman, married to a Jewish husband, who taught her that love and respect can hold two different faiths without either one having to shrink.

Somewhere between the honesty and the humor, she stopped being “the speaker” and just became a woman standing in her truth. And the room felt it. Tears flowed freely, because so many of us recognized pieces of our own walls in her story.

Watching Janet step into who she is now — a powerful voice for so many, embracing this new chapter fully — was a gift. Thank you, Janet, for trusting us with your heart today. 💛

Meet Snickers — our teacup Yorkie, all of 3 lbs and 5 months old — who just had her very first trip to H-E-B, and let's just say... she's a natural-born crowd-pleaser! 💕

From sweet little siblings who couldn't stop petting her, to H-E-B's own Jim who lit up the moment he spotted her in the cart, Snickers turned a simple grocery run into a whole community love-fest. Proof that the smallest things can bring the biggest smiles!

We are honored to welcome Nate Boyer as our special guest speaker this year. Nate is a U.S. Army Green Beret, Bronze Star recipient, and combat veteran of Iraq and Afghanistan. While serving overseas, he trained himself to walk on to the University of Texas Longhorns football team — with no prior organized football experience — and went on to hold the No. 1 long-snapper position for three seasons. In 2015, he signed with the Seattle Seahawks at age 34, becoming the oldest rookie in NFL history, and had the honor of leading the team out of the tunnel carrying the American flag.

Nate is also the Co-Founder of Merging Vets & Players (MVP), an organization he built with NFL insider Jay Glazer to help veterans and athletes navigate life transitions together. In 2020, he co-wrote, produced, directed, and starred in MVP, a film based on the organization’s founding story.

We can’t wait for you to hear his story.
