✨ What if the need to be seen as “gifted” is actually keeping you from being healed?

In many ministry spaces, there can be an unspoken pressure to stand out—to be the one with deeper revelation, unique insight, or a more powerful gift.

So we work hard to differentiate ourselves.

🔹 We emphasize what makes us “set apart.”
🔹 We subtly measure where we stand compared to others.
🔹 We strive to be seen, valued, and recognized.

But underneath that drive is often something deeper:

💔 A fear of being overlooked.
💔 A fear of being ordinary.
💔 A fear that simply being *you* isn’t enough.

When our identity becomes tied to being “more gifted,” we can lose the ability to simply be loved as sons and daughters.

Because now worth has to be:

⚠️ Maintained
⚠️ Proven
⚠️ Protected

And when someone else shines… it can feel threatening instead of beautiful.

This isn’t about diminishing spiritual gifts. Gifts are real and precious. ✨

This is about healing the place in us that needs those gifts to define our value.

You were never meant to build your identity on what flows *through* you.

🌿 Your identity is rooted in the One who lives *within* you.

God is not impressed by performance—He is after your heart. ❤️

🙏 **Prayer**
Father, search the places in me that feel the need to prove, perform, or stand above others to feel secure. Gently uncover any wounds where I have believed I must be “more” to be loved. Teach me to rest in my identity as Your child, not in my gifting. Heal the places where comparison, striving, or fear have taken root. Let me find freedom in simply being known and loved by You. In Jesus' name, Amen.

If this resonates with you, you don’t have to walk through it alone. 🤍

Inner healing is about allowing God to meet those deeper places and restore truth, freedom, and peace.

Greg's message for the week:

Walk With Him

At the time that Paul wrote the book of Colossians from prison in Rome, he received reports of the positive health and some of the threats facing the young church in Colosse. The church was under lots of influences, pressures, and many forms of heresy.

In response to these influences, Paul stresses many core points about Jesus:

• Jesus is the image of the invisible God, in Him are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge, and in Him dwells the fullness of God in bodily form.

• Jesus, God’s son, was instrumental in the creation of the universe.

• Fully human, Jesus accomplished His redeeming work. The fullness of the Godhead dwells in Him, in bodily form.

• Faith in Jesus is sufficient, they no longer needed their “elemental spiritual beliefs,” seeking guidance from the stars and planets.

• Faith in Jesus was all that’s needed to defeat the forces of evil. In the ancient world, it was believed that demonic powers existed in every natural force, the wind, thunder, lightning, rain, etc. They had a hard time accepting that Jesus had authority over all of these.

So, in verse 6 of chapter 2, Paul emphasizes that they are to accept Jesus and follow Him, staying focused on the truth they have been taught.

“Therefore, as you received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in him,” (Colossians 2:6 ESV).

“Therefore as you have received Christ Jesus the Lord, walk in [union with] Him [reflecting His character in the things you do and say—living lives that lead others away from sin],” (Colossians 2:6 AMP).

The “walk with Him” means to be connected and in relationship with Him. In our busy lives today, we are called to walk in unity and close intimacy with Jesus. He is always available. Once we invite Him into life’s details (big and small) and surrendered to Him, life is less heavy and you can be confident of His presence, power, guidance, and authority in all situations. He also encourages us to grasp the excitement and joy of when we first accepted Christ!

Paul continues with two beautiful concepts: He calls us to grow and become stronger in faith. Growing deep roots provides a tree with strength to withstand the winds and forces of life. Similarly, we are to “build-up” our faith for a solid and resilient foundation. Daily prayer and studying his word, worship, and living with others in a faith community all nourish our roots and reenforce our foundation.

“Rooted and built up in him and established in the faith, just as you were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:7 ESV)

“Having been deeply rooted [in Him] and now being continually built up in Him and [becoming increasingly more] established in your faith, just as you were taught, and overflowing in it with gratitude.” (Colossians 2:7 AMP)

Lastly, we are to be thankful in all things, overflowing with gratitude. With Jesus as our focus, He is with us to weather and walk with us through all of life’s challenges. Being thankful and grateful in the midst of trials is hard, but with God you are never alone and can be confident in His never-ending love, power, and acceptance.

💛 What does your heart need today?

Rest. Peace. Strength. Healing. Hope.

Whatever it is, God is not distant from it. He sees you, and He is near to the brokenhearted.

📖 “The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit.” – Psalm 34:18

If today feels heavy, take a moment to pause and rest in God’s presence. You don’t have to carry it all on your own.

🙏 Prayer
Lord, we come before You with open and honest hearts. Bring Your peace where there is anxiety, Your comfort where there is grief, and Your healing where there is pain. Draw near to each person reading this today and remind them they are not alone. In Jesus' name, Amen.

How much of your life has been shaped by the fear of not being chosen? 🤔

There is a quiet ache in many hearts that whispers, “I just want to be chosen.”

And that desire is not wrong.

God created us for love, connection, and belonging. But somewhere along the way, many of us learned to chase being chosen at the cost of forgetting that we also have a choice.

We reshape ourselves…
We soften convictions.
We silence needs.
We become who we think will be easier to love.

Not because we are false,
but because we are afraid.

Afraid that if we show up as we truly are, we will not be chosen at all.

But here is the truth:

You were never meant to earn your place by disappearing.

You are already chosen by God. 🙌

“…you are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God’s special possession…” — 1 Peter 2:9

From the security of being chosen by Him, you are free—not driven by fear, not striving for approval, not shaped by the pressure to be accepted at any cost.🌿

You are free to ask:
• Is this relationship choosing me in return?
• Is there mutual care, honor, and presence?
• Am I abandoning myself to keep what God is not asking me to chase?

Inner healing often begins here.

Not in trying harder to be chosen,
but in remembering that you already are. 💛

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, search my heart and gently reveal where I have been striving for what You have already given. Heal the places shaped by fear, rejection, and striving. Teach me to rest in Your love and to walk in truth, peace, and wholeness. Restore what has been wounded and lead me forward in freedom. In Jesus' name, amen.

If this speaks to your heart and you are ready for support on your healing journey, we invite you to schedule an inner healing appointment at https://www.crcministries.net/ or by calling 281-910-0668. Take your next step toward freedom, identity, and wholeness in Christ. You do not have to walk this alone.

Greg's message for the week:

Best Made Plans:

God has made us with intellect and discernment to function and operate autonomously (i.e. that free-will gift). We are also challenged to stay in alignment with His will and calling. Most of us struggle to seek direction and a “green light” when we know our choice is noble, loving, and “Godly”. With pure motives, shouldn’t our actions be acceptable by God?

Paul experienced a “block” for an extended period of time with his master plan to minister to the new Christian church in Rome.

“I do not want you to be unaware, brothers and sisters, that I planned many times to come to you (but have been prevented from doing so until now) in order that I might have a harvest among you, just as I have had among the other Gentiles.” (Romans 1:13)

What an illustration of deep obedience to our Lord! Paul had already ministered to much to the world as he knew it and this western path to Rome would take him on a course to evangelize, encourage, and teach The Way across Italy. His desire was pure and how could sharing the Gospel to a new region not be good?

God’s timing is often different that ours. God knew the hazards and threats already set against the Christian church and how he was already a target of the authorities. God also knew the where and when Paul would be most effective.

Paul continued to do extensive missionary work while based in Corinth; proclaiming the Gospel and strengthening the local church, plus he wrote the book of Romans while waiting for the “approval” to head out.

In Acts 16, we see more examples of The Lord preventing Paul from heading in the “planned” direction.

“Paul and his companions traveled throughout the region of Phrygia and Galatia, having been kept by the Holy Spirit from preaching the word in the province of Asia. When they came to the border of Mysia, they tried to enter Bithynia, but the Spirit of Jesus would not allow them to. So they passed by Mysia and went down to Troas. During the night Paul had a vision of a man of Macedonia standing and begging him, “Come over to Macedonia and help us.” After Paul had seen the vision, we got ready at once to leave for Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them.” (Acts 16:6-10).

The Holy Spirit’s guidance on this path was very precise. When they reached Lystra they could have continued westerly into Asia, but the spirit turned them north to Iconium. From there they headed northwest and were blocked from turning north to minister in the Bithynia region. Why was God steering them on this course? It’s not clear, but from Troas they headed to Macedonia where they built up and strengthened the churches in Philippi, Thessalonica, and many others in that area. This sounds like God’s agenda.

Later, Paul finally made it to Rome, but as a prisoner. So, the message for us is to stop and seek God’s affirmation on your next desired direction. His way is always better than our way. As Jeremiah stated: “’For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’” (Jeremiah 29:11)

You can be deeply spiritual… and still quietly believe you’re above others.

There’s a quiet mindset that can grow in church life without anyone noticing.

A quiet lie can slip into the heart if we’re not careful: the idea that some believers hold a higher rank in the Body of Christ.

Maybe it sounds like:
✨ “I’ve been saved longer.”
✨ “I serve more.”
✨ “I’m more spiritually mature.”

But the moment we begin positioning ourselves above others, something deeper is often being revealed — not strength, but a wound… not authority, but insecurity.

The Kingdom of God does not operate on ladders.🪜
It operates on love. ❤️

Scripture reminds us that we are *one Body with many members*, each uniquely placed and equally valued (1 Corinthians 12). No part can say to another, “I have no need of you.”

And no one is called to exalt themselves above the rest.

When comparison, striving, or self-promotion creep in, it may be an invitation from the Holy Spirit to look inward:

💭 What am I trying to prove?
💭 What am I afraid of?
💭 Where did I learn that my worth comes from being “above” instead of being rooted in Christ?

The branch that bears the most fruit bows the lowest. 🌿

True maturity in Christ does not elevate itself — it humbles itself.

Jesus, the Head of the Body, knelt to wash feet.
He did not demand status. He demonstrated surrender. ✝️

Inner healing begins when we allow God to gently uncover the places where pride has been protecting pain… and where ambition has been masking a need for affirmation.

There is no rank here.
There is only grace. 🤍

And in grace, we find our true place — not above others, but fully secure in Him.

🙏 Prayer:
Father, in the name of Jesus, search our hearts. Reveal any place where pride, comparison, or self-promotion has taken root. Gently uncover the wounds that drive us to strive for position instead of resting in our identity as Your beloved. Teach us to walk in humility, honor others, and live as one Body in Christ. Heal what is hidden, restore what is broken, and anchor us deeply in Your grace. Amen.

People are not puzzles to solve…
they are souls to love. 🤍

So often, we approach hurting people as if we need to figure them out.

Why they act this way.
What went wrong.
How to fix them.

But healing rarely comes through analysis.
It comes through presence. ✨

Through compassion.
Through creating a safe space where someone can be seen, heard, and gently held in grace.

Jesus never treated people like problems.
He met them in their pain, honored their story, and restored their dignity.

In inner healing ministry, we are not called to “solve” people.
We are invited to walk with them…
to listen deeply…
and to trust that the Holy Spirit is the true healer. 🕊️

Sometimes the most powerful thing you can offer is not an answer.
It is your presence.

“Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ.”
— Galatians 6:2 📖

🙏 Prayer:
Lord, teach us to love people well. Help us to listen with compassion, respond with gentleness, and create safe places for healing and restoration. Give us the humility to trust You as the healer and the wisdom to walk alongside others with grace. In Jesus' name, Amen.

✨ Testimony ✨

We are grateful to share this testimony from a woman who recently received ministry through CRC:

“I would like to start by giving my sisters in Christ, Donna and Janice, a huge heartfelt thank you.

Words cannot fully express my gratitude for these anointed women of God and CRC Ministry for truly being the hands and feet of Jesus.

My session was Holy Spirit-filled and felt like a divine appointment with my Lord and Savior. The atmosphere, prayer, and discussion were such a blessing.

I experienced breakthrough and inner healing, and I know I still have work to continue walking in the freedom Christ intended.

My spirit feels lifted in the most beautiful way.

I pray the Lord continues to pour out His favor and blessings over CRC Ministry as they continue to bridge the gap between Heaven and Earth.”

All glory to God for what He is doing through inner healing and freedom ministry. 💛

Greg's message for the week:

Encountering Jesus

Over the past several years, CRC has encouraged the “Beloveds” to invite Jesus to join them as we transition into the prayer portion of our appointments. Frequently Jesus shows up! He may, or may not, look a lot like the movie or painting versions of Jesus; however, the beloveds clearly recognize Him.

When beloveds don’t experience Jesus in this tangible way, the leader will coach and try a couple other things, but we won’t stall there. Sometimes there is a “wall”, trauma, or a lie that’s blocking the beloved from connecting with Jesus. Often in prayer, those obstacles are dealt with, and healing opens the door for this divine intimacy.

When Jesus does appear, we can guide the beloved to receive truth, their unique identity, and healing from the most raw or vulnerable situations. Nothing is “off-limits” when we are communicating with Jesus!

Since God created us and knows us very well, we often discover the humor and wit of Jesus. He knows exactly how to answer our questions in a way that we can grasp and fully relate to.

The goal of inviting Jesus into the prayer appointment is to open the relationship in an easy and intimate way. It’s the most significant “lifeline” we can obtain. God is always available and ready to talk to us; we are the ones that are too busy or neglect to “tune in” with God. Once this “circuit” is flowing, you’ll never want to turn it off.

As we guide the Beloved in starting this dialog with Jesus, rest assured that his answers will always align with The Word, and will reflect the fruit of the Spirit: “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.” (Galatians 5:22-23).

If you don’t have a flowing and regular relationship with Jesus, let us assist you in making this personal connection with your Savior, Redeemer, and the lover of your soul.
