The Refuge is a nonprofit after-school club for middle school students providing a Christ-centered environment where students grow in mind, body, and soul through mentorship, fun, academic help, and spiritual guidance.

The Refuge Club starts after school until 4:45 PM at Eagleton College & Career Academy in partnership with Broadway Baptist Church.

A place to be known, supported, and pointed toward Jesus!
*Optional transportation is available for students to attend Broadway Baptist Church Youth services after The Refuge Ends. Dinner is provided. 💚

Refuge is back and we’re excited to kick things off this week! 🎉 Refuge at Union Grove starts TOMORROW, with optional transportation available to Marble Hill following club.

We’re also gearing up for Eagleton College & Career, which begins next Wednesday, February 11, with optional transportation to Broadway Baptist Church.

Both spaces are all about creating a welcoming environment where students can build community, get academic support, have fun, and grow in their faith. 💙

Parents: If you have a student who wants to attend and need a permission form, comment below and we’ll get that information to you!

Big News from The Refuge!

This February, Refuge Club is starting back up at Union Grove Middle AND launching for the very first time at Eagleton College and Career Academy! 🎉

Our clubs meet on Wednesdays and give students a safe place to:
✔ Get homework help
✔ Enjoy snacks
✔ Play Games
✔ Learn about Jesus

Each school is connected with an assigned local church that supports, provides dinner, and disciples students. We also offer optional transportation to those partner churches for students who want to attend.

Merry Christmas from The Refuge 🎄

This season, we are filled with gratitude for the community God has placed around The Refuge. Because of your prayers, support, and faithful presence, students are being loved, seen, and reached with the Gospel.

We are thankful for a community that doesn’t just believe in students, but actively walks alongside them, pointing them to truth and helping connect them to a local church where they can grow, belong, and be discipled. What you do matters more than you know, and the impact is eternal.

As we celebrate the birth of our Savior, we are reminded of this promise:
“The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.”
‭‭Isaiah‬ ‭9‬:‭2‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Thank you for being part of that light in the lives of students. We pray your Christmas is filled with joy, hope, and the peace that only Christ brings.

✨ Speaker Spotlight: Chaz Farmer ✨

We are so grateful for the incredible word brought this past weekend by Chaz Farmer, Youth Pastor at Broadway Baptist Church. His message on resilience hit home in such a powerful way reminding our students that even when life gets heavy, God builds strength in the struggle.

A huge thank-you to Broadway Baptist Church for sharing Pastor Chaz with us. His heart and energy made a lasting impact on our group, and we’re truly thankful for the partnership.

We’re also excited to share that Broadway Baptist Church will be launching The Refuge at Eagleton College & Career Academy next semester! Big things are coming, and we cannot wait to see what God does through this next chapter.
