The Friendsville Fire Department is proud to announce that we were awarded $8,461 through the Tennessee State Fire Marshal’s Office.
Over the past four years, the State Fire Marshal’s Office has provided volunteer fire departments across Tennessee with opportunities to apply for funding to replace old and obsolete equipment. These grants help volunteer departments enhance their capabilities, improve firefighter safety, and provide better service to their communities.
Through this grant, the Friendsville Fire Department was able to purchase a new ladder and two thermal imaging cameras. These tools will enhance our ability to safely and effectively operate at emergency scenes while providing our firefighters with better equipment to protect themselves and the citizens we serve.
We would like to sincerely thank Representative Tom Stinnett and Senator Tom Hatcher for their support throughout the grant process. Both have been great advocates for public safety and the volunteer fire service.
We are extremely grateful for this investment in the Friendsville Fire Department and appreciate everyone who continues to support our volunteers.
