Gastrointestinal Stromal Tumors (GIST) are rare soft tissue sarcomas that develop in the cells of the digestive tract.

Symptoms can vary widely based on tumor size and location—ranging from no symptoms to abdominal pain, nausea, bleeding, or weight loss. While most commonly diagnosed in adults over 50, GIST can occur at any age and is sometimes linked to rare genetic syndromes.

Awareness helps lead to earlier detection and better outcomes.
