***THREE MONTH UPDATE***
Let's chat about how the Lending Library project is going....
I'm delighted to say it's going really, really well!
- The inventory now has several hundred items, with more being added weekly
- The member list is nearing 100
- Almost all items are being returned on-time
- Feedback on borrowed items has been overwhelmingly positive
- Donations of items from the community are starting to trickle in
- The Wish List is ever-changing as my thought-process evolves/items are received
- I am continuing to self-fund this project, but any financial donations will be greatly-appreciated and put to good use
- Informing the community about the Lending Library
To elaborate on each of the above:
- The Fox's Box is getting pretty full! Items will continue to be added for sure, but I'll need to be very creative with organization and use discretion with the size of items accepted. Most items are listed on the website, but some of the smaller tools aren't. It's somewhat of a tedious process and will be done gradually over time, for those items. Check the page weekly for a peek at what's been added.
- If you haven't already signed up for a borrower's account, consider doing so. The process is quick and easy! The platform I use (website not created by me) asks numerous questions, but all you need to submit is: name, email address, phone number, and address. Please save your log-in name and password for future use. If you have trouble signing up or logging in, don't hesitate to reach out to me. Where can you sign up? Here:

- Overall, items are being returned on-time and clean. Need to keep an item longer, just ask! If there isn't another borrower waiting, I can extend the loan for you. Out of appreciation for the service I am providing, free of charge, and consideration for other borrowers, please do not return items late (sans prior approval) or without properly cleaning them.
- I value your feedback on the inventory, negative or positive, This helps me decide which items to keep, which items to remove, and which items need maintenance.
- As I've previously mentioned, most items in the inventory have been purchased by myself, saved from jobs our family company has done, or donated by other lending libraries. As word about Isle Supplies spreads, donations from the Friday Harbor community are starting to slowly come in. If you have items you'd like to donate, please contact me to see if they'd be a good fit for the inventory.
- There is an Amazon Wish list that I update on a fairly regular basis. Must items be purchased from Amazon? Nope! You can purchase these items anywhere you'd like, but it would be helpful for you to select 'purchased elsewhere' so the item is removed from the list. Do I only want items on this list? Nope! I am open to suggestions for adding to the Lending Library, this is just a current list of most-needed/wanted items. Right now, the Dewalt batteries and chargers are numero uno of most-needed. - The monthly rental of the Fox's Box is paid for by me, as are any newly-purchased items. Any funds donated to Isle Supplies will go toward the former or latter.
- Tell your family, friends, coworkers, and neighbors about the Lending Library! I do my best to inform via social media, flyers, and word-of-mouth. If you'd be willing to let me display a flyer or business cards at your shop, please let me know!
