💚 It’s National Volunteer Week, and we’re celebrating the people who make 4-H possible in San Juan County. 💚

4-H in San Juan County is proud to be supported by WSU Extension, but our reach and impact depend on community support. With just one paid staff member, our local 4-H program serves more than 135 youth—made possible through the countless hours volunteered by dedicated adults across the county.

Our volunteers are mentors, leaders, and role models who help youth build skills, confidence, and connections that last a lifetime. We are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and heart they bring to this work.

Interested in making a difference for local youth? We’d love to have you join us. Learn more about becoming a 4-H volunteer here: https://extension.wsu.edu/sanjuan/4h/volunteer-with-4-h/

I had the opportunity to sit in and learn how to broaden the impact of 4-H and the Fair in our community! Thank you to the WSFA and fairs.com for providing this training.

Day 1, Stop #1 of the Washington State Fairs Association YMTD Tour is in the books! 🙌

We kicked things off at the San Juan County Parks & Fair Department, where an incredible group of leaders came together with a shared purpose—committing to strengthen and shape the future of our industry. The energy in the room was inspiring, and the conversations were even more impactful.

This is what it’s all about: connection, leadership, and forward momentum 🎡

We’re just getting started… Day 2, Stop #2 continues tomorrow right here at the San Juan County Fair. Let’s keep building! 💪
