Honoring those who gave everything.

This Memorial Day, SCALE Fresno pauses to remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our country.

Their courage leaves a legacy of freedom, gratitude, and remembrance.

SCALE Fresno honors them today and always.

Access Plus Capital, through SCALE Fresno, was proud to sponsor and support Hmong American Day, organized by The Fresno Center.

This event was a meaningful celebration of culture, history, community, and the continued contributions of the Hmong American community across the Central Valley. We were honored to join partners, leaders, and community members in recognizing the importance of representation, connection, and shared support.

Through SCALE Fresno, we remain committed to strengthening partnerships that uplift small businesses, expand opportunity, and support the communities that make our region stronger.

This Asian American Pacific Islander Heritage Month, SCALE Fresno is celebrating leaders who bring culture, care, and community into everything they do.

Anusone Keochai is one of those leaders. As a small business owner, community advocate, and new SCALE Fresno Small Business Steering Committee member, she brings valuable insight into what entrepreneurs need to grow and succeed in Central California.

Her work reminds us that small business support is strongest when it is rooted in lived experience, collaboration, and a deep commitment to community.

Join us in celebrating Anusone and the impact she continues to make this AAPI Heritage Month!

We had a productive and inspiring quarterly gathering with our SCALE Fresno partners—bringing together leaders committed to strengthening our small business ecosystem.

During the meeting, our four workgroups shared their accomplishments from the past year, highlighting the progress being made to support entrepreneurs across the region. We also had the opportunity to introduce our Small Business Steering Committee member, whose leadership will help guide this work forward.

We’re excited to welcome two new associate members to the network—Hmong Inc and the Downtown Fresno Partnership—expanding our collective impact and collaboration.

To close out the session, we engaged in a dynamic brainstorming conversation as we begin planning for our Fall SCALE Fresno Ecosystem Summit—bringing together capital providers, policymakers, and practitioners to better serve small businesses.

Grateful for the collaboration, shared vision, and continued momentum behind this work.

We were proud to gather with partners and friends at the State of Downtown—hosted by the Downtown Fresno Partnership—and even prouder to support an event that highlights the continued momentum in the heart of our city.

The Downtown Fresno Partnership plays an essential role in uplifting local businesses and entrepreneurs by activating spaces, encouraging collaboration, and driving a shared vision for a vibrant, economically inclusive downtown. Their work helps create the conditions small businesses need to grow and succeed.

The evening brought together a community of people who believe in the power of a strong downtown. From enjoying the tastes of downtown Fresno to engaging in meaningful conversations, it was a great reminder of what’s possible when we come together. We also loved capturing a moment with some of our SCALE Fresno partners who continue to move this work forward 📸

A standout moment of the evening was the fireside chat moderated by The Kresge Foundation, featuring urbanist Richard Florida. His insights encouraged us to stay forward-thinking and intentional about equity as Fresno continues to grow.

Grateful for the partnerships, the shared vision, and the continued investment in downtown Fresno’s future.

Cybersecurity is no longer optional. It is essential for organizational resilience.

Yesterday, SCALE Fresno hosted a Lunch & Learn in partnership with Mcubed, focused on strengthening cybersecurity awareness across our community.

Participants gained valuable insights into identifying phishing attempts, avoiding common scams, and understanding the broader risks facing organizations today. With businesses losing billions of dollars annually to cyber fraud, proactive education is more critical than ever.

Through our work in nonprofit capacity building, SCALE Fresno remains committed to equipping organizations with the knowledge and tools needed to operate securely and effectively.

We extend our sincere thanks to MCubed for delivering this session at no cost and for their continued support of our community.
