*****IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT*****

The board of Mending Fences Pet Rescue regrets to inform you we will be closing our nonprofit pet rescue organization permanently. Effective immediately we will no longer be taking in any animals, and we will focus on the animals currently in our care.

The decision to close our organization was not easy. Mending Fences Pet Rescue has served our community for nearly 10 years, and we have loved every animal and human we helped along the way. As you know rescue life is ever changing as are the lives of those who have operated this organization over the years. The Mending Fences Pet Rescue family remains close and together we concluded our limitations due to current health and family commitments are not conducive to the success of our mission. Therefore, we elected to dissolve Mending Fences Pet Rescue.

Some of our volunteers will continue to rescue either independently or with other rescue organizations while remaining available to their previous foster animals. Our rescue maybe permanently closing but pet parents with animals adopted through our organization will be able to email us at [email protected] for assistance with paperwork, advise and referrals to other organizations for services we can no longer offer.

All of us here at Mending Fences Pet Rescue are grateful for the relationships we had in the community. We could not have fulfilled our mission without the volunteers, vet staff, groomers, rescue partners, transporters and shelter staff who committed their time to saving our communities unwanted pet population. Together we saved an unbelievable number of cats, dogs, birds, rabbits, rats, snakes, and chickens. We wish to convey our gratitude to everyone who participated in bringing our mission to fruition over the years. We truly could not have done it without you, thank you!

Sincerely,
Mending Fences Pet Rescue

Tulip is one day post surgery and she is feeling much better. Yesterday she had a lot of swelling but today things have greatly improved. I know it looks a little off but I believe once all the swelling has gone Tulip will be a beautiful one eyed kitty. The good news is Tulip is eating, drinking water and playing despite having eye surgery and being spay. I have attached a copy of the bill and we would greatly appreciate any donations to help cover this bill as well as any future costs for follow up exams. All contributions are tax deductible and can be made on our website www.mendingfencesca.org by clicking the PayPal button.

Update on Tulip.

After multiple procedures to save Tulip’s eye, it seems we have exhausted all non surgical options. Tomorrow Tulip will have to have her bad eye removed because it is not improving and it is causing her pain. Attached is the estimate for the proceedure which also includes spaying Tulip. Please consider donating toward Tulips surgery. Any amount is greatly appreciated. Tax deductible donations maybe made by going to our website

My sweet Pretzel was adopted this morning. He gave me such a sweet snuggle to say good bye. Bottle babies are so lovable but Pretzel was my special boy. I sure am going to miss him. His new Mom is over the moon for her new snuggle buddy. Best which to Pretzel and his new family.
