The posture of pausing, noticing, and seeing a person is the heart of biblical hospitality. This is a radical way of practicing hospitality!
Let's think about practicing hospitality in two ways. First, to share with those “who are in need.” Since we ALL have needs, every encounter is an opportunity to notice others' needs, NOT to think about yourself.
Second, practice hospitality. This skill isn't reserved for individuals who excel at entertaining, but a Christ-like posture that can be learned over time as we start to pause, notice, and see people around us.
