💙 Support Those Who Serve

09/17/2026

Every time our chaplains show up on a call, there’s a community of people helping make it possible.
As we begin preparing for the 2027 Support Blue Run, we want to take a moment to thank the incredible sponsors who stand behind our mission. Their generous support is what makes our biggest event of the year possible, and its impact reaches far beyond race day. Every sponsorship helps the Chaplaincy continue doing what we are called to do: showing up on calls, standing alongside our first responders, and serving those who serve.

Sometimes, after a long day of serving others, the best way to decompress is with a furry friend by your side.
We are always so grateful to welcome Canines for Christ and their therapy dogs to spend some time with our first responders. These special visits offer officers a chance to slow down, take a break, and enjoy a little comfort in the middle of demanding shifts. Thank you to Canines for Christ for the work you do and for sharing your four-legged friends with our first responder community. The Chaplaincy is lucky to have you as a partner!

The Chaplaincy was honored to be part of this year’s In-Town Pastors’ Prayer Summit, hosted by ESA and Love INC. Local pastors and church leaders gathered together for a meaningful time of prayer, connection, and encouragement.
Together, they lifted up our neighborhoods, our communities, and our city as a whole, praying for the people who call Fresno home and those who serve it every day.

Our Chaplaincy family is deeply saddened by the passing of former Fresno Police Chief Ed Wi******er. We are thankful for a life devoted to serving others and for the impact his leadership made on the Fresno Police Department and our community. Behind every badge is a person, a family, friendships, and a lifetime of memories.
We are praying for his family, friends, and our Fresno Police family as they grieve this loss. May they experience comfort and peace in the days ahead.
Rest well, Chief. Thank you for your service.
