Elder Paws Senior Dog Foundation Elder Paws Senior Dog Foundation is a 501c3 non profit organization dedicated solely to senior dogs in California's Central Valley. Tax ID # 45-5291667.

Elder Paws started out as a senior dog rescue in 2012; in 2016 we discovered that many senior dog owners living on a fixed income were unable to properly care for their senior companion animals and felt they had no choice but to surrender them to local area shelters or allow their pet's health to deteriorate. In an effort to reduce the number of older pets entering the shelter system and improve q

uality of life for both senior dogs and their owners we developed the "Pandora Fund", an innovative pet retention program that offers a positive alternative to surrendering older dogs in the Central Valley; we continue to do rescue through our "For the Love of Buttons" hospice program which provides end of life love and care for shelter seniors with multiple at-risk health issues that deem them unadoptable and who just need a loving place to live out their final days in comfort and peace. We changed our name from Rescue to Foundation in 2016 to encompass our multiple programs. Elder Paws is a 501c3 California Corporation ( #45-5291667), all donations are tax deductible, we're staffed 100% by volunteers.
