Marjaree Mason Center was invited to be a part of a recent panel interview facilitated by Univision, which provided an opportunity for Victim Advocate Elvira to discuss domestic violence awareness, survivor safety, and the importance of considering safety when seeking a restraining order.

The conversation was prompted by the recent incidents across the Central Valley and highlighted the importance of awareness, resources, and safety planning for survivors.

The segment will air Monday at 11 PM and will also be shared on Univision’s YouTube channel and social media platforms as we continue working to educate and support our communities.

Since 2025, we have had the privilege of collaborating with Dr. Hailey Nelson on her project, Healing Through Art: A Trauma-Informed Advocacy and Educational Innovation. This initiative partnered pediatric residents with children impacted by domestic violence, using art as a way to explore both mental and physical health.

Yesterday, we were honored to support Dr. Nelson as she presented this meaningful work at the Valley Children’s Healthcare Interprofessional Research Day 2026.

We are so thankful for this continued partnership and shared commitment to advocacy, healing, and supporting children and families in our community.

Join the Marjaree Mason Center Training Institute for an in-depth, state-mandated training led by locally and nationally recognized experts.

Date: June 22-26
Time: 8 AM – 5 PM (1-hour lunch break)
Location: Marjaree Mason Center – Isnardi Foundation Building
