Lavender Convention of Fresno

Lavender Convention of Fresno Bringing together LGBTQ+ Community and Straight Allies to work on stigma reduction. The Lavender Convention was last held in 2015.

Four Conventions will be held in 2021 in Fresno, Modesto, Bakersfield, and Visalia California. The Convention will run from 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM in each city. It will consist of a mindfulness opening ceremony which honors the many spiritual traditions we come from, a key note speaker, break-out sessions on LGBTQ+ stigma, entertainment, morning refreshments and lunch, ending with a closing ceremony

. The convention welcomes all who are interested in connecting with themselves at a deeper level. The convention is an opportunity for each individual to explore their own values and beliefs in a friendly, supportive and safe environment. The Conventions will allow attendees to receive information and participate in experiences that promote their experiences with stigma and their impact. Mission Statement:
The Lavender Convention strives to transform society's view of the LGBTQ+ individual’s worth through its work on stigma reduction. The Lavender Convention has created an engagement platform for the LGBTQ+ Community that identifies and addresses LGBTQ+ stigma.
