Since 1971, when Congress established the last Monday of May as Memorial Day and a federal holiday, Americans have enjoyed the traditional long weekend with family and friends, perhaps attending a parade, visiting a National Park, or hosting a cookout.

We are humbled that so many of you make our annual Memorial Day Concert part of your yearly tradition.

What can you expect to hear at a FCCB concert? You will hear a wide variety of band and pops music, from Handel, to Sousa, to Elton John, to Eric Whitacre. We performed our last concert, "A Trip to the Zoo," to TWO sold-out audiences! It's our pleasure to play the band music we love so much to such appreciative audiences. Did you know?!? Every FCCB concert, no matter the theme, will likely include a piece composed by marching music legend, John Phillip Sousa. Our concert on May 24 will be no exception. Come hear and learn more about our country's legacy of patriotic music at "Echoes of Courage" at 3:00 PM at the Shaghoian Concert Hall.

Did you know?!? Once a year, the Fresno Community Concert Band plays with a local high school band, highlighting talented young musicians in our community.
