What a night! Fresno showed up and proved we got us 💕. We raised over 3k from 200 community members that will go to the mutual aid fund to support families/vendors impacted by deportation and ICE presence.

Big thank you to the artists, poets, healers, musicians, organizers and cultural workers who shared their gifts with us Barajas and Mariposa ✨✨✨✨

And of course big BIG thank you to vendors and community leaders Maria and Teresa who shared their story and delicious food with us 😊

✨ Fresno ✨THIS WEEK July 31st 6-9pm . Registration link in bio!

Join us as we kick off our fundraiser campaign to raise money for the mutual aid fund that will directly support street vendors and families impacted by ICE/deportations in the City of Fresno. The event will be sliding scale donation $10-30.

This administration and 🧊 continue to terrorize our communities. Many immigrant vendors, workers and families are staying home out of fear, often at the expense of making much needed income to provide for rent and basic necessities. You’re financial support could directly support immigrant families in covering gaps from missed income and provide a critical family safety net to weather this administration’s terror 💕

Update! Today’s event event is at capacity - if you didn’t register unfortunately we won’t have enough materials and want to keep the space comfortable and safe for folks. We will be checking registration at the door.

❤️ We heard folks loud and clear though - people want more space to be in community and make art throughout the valley. DM us if you would like to collab on a similar event in your city.

We just wrapped up an incredible night at College of Sequoias!

Over 25 students came through to dive deep into the real consequences of Congress moving forward with a budget that cuts Medicaid/Medi-Cal, SNAP/EBT, and education funding 🫠— because there’s no way, we letting this slide.

Our future is on the line, but we’re showing up & taking action.

About Kyle Neil:
Kyle is the Rapid Response Coordinator at Vision Change Win, where they develop community safety resources, offer trainings, and coordinate rapid response support for our movements. With over a decade of experience in LGBTQ+, anti-violence, and prison abolitionist movements, Kyle has worked with organizations like Community United Against Violence (CUAV) and Transgender, Gender-Variant and Intersex Justice Project (TGIJP) to support q***r, trans, and formerly incarcerated people. They are currently a member of Critical Resistance’s Oakland Chapter. When not organizing, you can find Kyle in the ocean 🌊.
