What happens after a young person earns the rank of Eagle Scout?

The results are impressive.

A new national study from Scouting America shows that Eagle Scouts are more likely to lead in their communities, volunteer their time, build strong relationships, and achieve success in life.

If you have ever wondered whether the journey to Eagle Scout makes a lasting difference, this research provides a clear answer.

Congratulations to Brock on earning the rank of Eagle Scout from Scouting America. For his Eagle Scout service project, Brock led a campsite and retaining wall restoration project at Lost Lake Park, helping to improve and preserve the area for future visitors and the community. In addition to earning Scouting’s highest rank, Brock also earned a Bronze Palm, recognizing his continued dedication and achievement beyond Eagle Scout.

Becoming an Eagle Scout represents years of leadership, service, and determination. Brock’s accomplishment reflects the values of Scouting and the impact young leaders can make through hard work and service to others.

Congratulations, Brock; your family, Troop 301, and community should be very proud of this achievement.

Attention all adult volunteers:

Scouting America has introduced a new required training called S.A.F.E. Guarding Youth Training (SYT).

This training must be completed by May 31, 2026.

Even if your current Youth Protection Training (YPT) is still valid, it will no longer count after May 31 unless you complete the new S.A.F.E. Guarding Youth course.

Please do not wait until the last minute. Log in to your My.Scouting account and complete the training as soon as possible.

Protecting youth is our highest priority. Thank you for doing your part to keep Scouting safe for every young person.

Sequoia Council proudly congratulates Brent Schiebelhut on earning the rank of Eagle Scout.

His Eagle Court of Honor marks a major milestone and reflects years of dedication, leadership, and service. Troop 317 and the Visalia community should be proud of the example he has set.

Well done, Brent.

Sequoia Council Chair John Marshall sharing a moment of recognition and encouragement with our newest Eagle Scouts from Troop 301 Fresno, Gabe, Josh, and Donovan, at their Eagle Court of Honor.

Earning the rank of Eagle Scout represents years of effort, leadership, and commitment. Moments like this connect that achievement to the larger Scouting community and the leaders who continue to guide the way.
