As the nation approaches the 250th anniversary of American independence, a unique traveling exhibit is making its way to Fresno. The Daughters of the American Revolution, in partnership with the American Battlefield Trust, will present the American Revolution Experience at the Museum of Valor from June 6–16, 2026.
This engaging pop-up exhibit features interactive kiosks, vivid storytelling, and compelling visuals that bring the Revolutionary era to life. Through 12 illustrated panels and digital experiences, visitors can explore the lives of both well-known figures and everyday individuals—drummer boys, mapmakers, and others—who shaped America’s fight for independence.
The exhibit also highlights the diverse perspectives of the era, including Patriots and Loyalists, women, Black and Native populations, and international allies. Visitors are invited to consider the difficult choices faced by ordinary people during a time of extraordinary change.
The Fresno-Yosemite Chapter, NSDAR will host a special meeting at the Museum of Valor on June 6 at 10:00 a.m. where the American Revolution Experience will be the main event! This is a wonderful opportunity to connect with history in a meaningful and interactive way.
Don’t miss this inspiring glimpse into America’s founding story! Questions? Ask Mary Gadberry or Becky Malmo.

Fly the United States Flag at Half-Staff on Sunday, December 7, 2025 in Honor of National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day

On the 7th of December 84 years ago, 2,403 service members and civilians were killed in a painful and unprovoked attack on our Armed Forces. On National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day, we remember these women and men, who gave their last full measure of devotion to our Nation. We honor the brave service members who — with the horrors of Pearl Harbor weighing on their hearts and the hopes of humanity resting on their shoulders — answered the call to defend freedom against the forces of fascism during World War II.

A resolution approved by Congress in 1994 designates December 7 of each year as “National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day,” and directs that flags be lowered to half-staff from sunrise to sundown.

🌹Join Us for a Once-in-a-Lifetime Rose Parade Float Adventure! 🌹
Have you ever dreamed of helping create a Rose Parade float? Now’s your chance! The Fresno Yosemite DAR chapter is organizing a special road trip to Irwindale on Saturday December 6 to volunteer as Dry Decorators for the America250 Rose Parade float—and you’re invited to join the fun!
A group of our members, friends and family will be working the 12–4 p.m. shift, and we’d love for you to be part of this unforgettable hands-on experience. By the time we arrive, the magnificent Eagles will already be on the float, so you’ll get an up-close look at the artistry and craftsmanship that bring this national tradition to life.
No experience is needed—just enthusiasm! Volunteers must be 12 years or older, making this a great outing for families, friends, or groups looking for a unique holiday-season adventure.
Ready to join us?
Email Sally Tripp who is coordinating carpools and lunch for the day trip.
Don’t miss this exciting opportunity to be part of Rose Parade history. Let’s check this off the bucket list together!
