Almost time to support this very necessary renewal of the current Measure C. This is what the City needs to fix our roads and provide safer transportation for all of us.

This citizen-led effort will deliver billions of dollars to repair local streets, enhance safety, and improve transportation for Fresno County

Community Health System said Blue Shield’s claims were misleading. Both sides accuse the other of prioritizing profits over patient care.

Today we stood together to address the healthcare disruptions impacting City of Fresno employees and families across the Valley following the contract breakdown between Blue Shield and Community Medical Centers.

We are bringing forward a resolution to urge both parties back to the table, protect access to care, and stand firmly with our public employees. Our message is simple: Fresno families should not be caught in the middle of contract disputes. We will continue fighting to ensure our employees and residents have access to affordable, quality healthcare.

Had an excellent Board of Directors meeting last night where 7 new Directors were sworn in, the 2026 budget was approved, and Dr. Joaquin Arambula was endorsed as our candidate in District 3. We are so lucky to have members willing to dedicate themselves as leaders in the ongoing battle for better wages, benefits and working conditions.

FCEA year end giving to worthy causes. Marjaree Mason Center https://mmcenter.org/ and The Resiliency Center https://fresnorc.org/ both provide invaluable service to our residents. President Tania Keller and Business Manager Sam Frank were both very happy to deliver the contribution made on behalf of all the hard working members of our Association.

Thank you to the Fresno City Employees Association for trusting me with your endorsement. It is an honor to represent not only Fresno, but the hardworking people who run our day-to-day. Thank you for uniting our city through safety, protection, and advocacy.

On this Labor Day keep in mind that FCEA members wages have fallen 11% behind inflation since 2019, and we are still struggling for a contract that doesn't have us falling even farther behind. Politicians may say they value working families until you start talking about the value of their employee's paychecks being eroded by inflation. Then they melt away like Cheshire Cats, leaving only their smiles. Just remember what the cat said because it's being said by hardworking City employees more and more, "We're all mad here. I'm mad. You're mad". Remember too that the same power that created this Holiday over the objections of employers is the power you have as a union worker today, and enjoy your day!
