Our Trainers employ hard work and exercise in hopes of reaching new levels of physical connectedness below the level of injury. This process involves a joint effort between client and trainer. We hope to increase and regain function for people affected by Spinal Cord Injuries Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Stroke, and Traumatic Brain Injuries. Load-bearing activities are vital in the recovery of someone with a neurological injury – they’re thought to increase function, bone density, muscle mass, sensation, and circulation which allows a person’s body to recover from SCI and other neurological conditions. The benefits of the recovery process include more than a hope for future ability. The most immediate effect of these regular exercises is an increase in overall health, which is evidenced through greater resiliency to pressure sores, urinary tract infections, blood pressure problems and poor circulation. Many clients are even able to decrease or completely eliminate their medication programs. We can’t guarantee a full recovery for anybody, but we do offer the hope of recovery to everybody.
