Thank you to our alumni Sami Eastton, Nigma Shook, and Angela Hiyama for joining our orientation and sharing about their internship experiences, career paths, and invaluable advice with our interns.

We are also grateful for Jenna Welch, Field Representative for Senator Shannon Grove, Jesus Contreras, Constituent Services Representative for Congressman Jim Costa, and Kathy Mahan, Regional Director for Senator Adam Schiff, for sharing their expertise and helping prepare our interns for their legislative internships across the San Joaquin Valley.

A new episode of The Maddy Report airs this Sunday, Aug. 16, with Fresno State President Saúl Jiménez-Sandoval to discuss Fresno State’s impact on the Central Valley’s economy as well as the state and federal issues impacting higher education.
