The annual quilt camp to sew quilts, comforters and other sewy-type things for the April 9 & 10, 2027 West Coast Mennonite Relief Sale and Auction is in its second day at Mennonite Community Church in Fresno! It's amazing how much 15 sewers representing 3-4 area churches can accomplish in one day! Some of the quilts in the pictures were sewn at last year's quilt camp but were machine quilted and bound in the ensuing year. The quilts on display will be auctioned off at the sale - so pick yours out! More quilt camp pictures will be posted in the coming days! Follow us!

A huge thank you to the family that donated several car loads of fabric, patterns, lace, buttons, sewing boxes and more! This week we received a warm welcome after a scenic drive in the hills NE of Fresno only to have help loading box after box of wonderful things into our cars! The fabric, patterns, lace and sewing boxes will be sold at Martha's Marketplace, the pre-priced area of sewing related items, behind the auction stage. The lace is plentiful and amazing!

If you'd like to donate fabric (even small pieces are put to use) or half-done sewing projects with the desire to support the 2027 West Coast Mennonite Relief Sale on April 9 & 10, 2027, you can label your box with "Martha's Marketplace" and drop it off at the MCC Thrift on Blackstone, 6687 N Blackstone Ave #105, Fresno, CA, M-F 10 am to 5:30 pm, Sat. 10 am to 4 pm.

You can also email us at [email protected] and we can arrange a better drop off location or have someone pick up the fabric from your home. We look forward to hearing from you!

Thank you to special local quilter who donated 6 boxes of her extra fabric to the MCC quilters in the area! The picture shows the fabric being sorted for at least 3 different Mennonite quilt groups to "share the wealth." There were fabric panels, unfinished quilt projects, pillow cases to embroider and lots of quality fabric to design quilts around! Thank you for your generosity!

A BIG thank you to the volunteer from the North Fresno Quilters' group who taught quilters from the Mennonite Community Quilters group and the Sewing Peace sewing group how to do the colorful "big stitch" quilting technique this week! It was so much fun - and addicting - that it was hard to not keep going when it was time to stop! Look for this small quilt (68" X 80") at the next West Coast Mennonite Relief Sale taking place April 9 & 10, 2027 on the Fresno Pacific University campus!
