🙏🏾 A Prayer for the Single Woman Who Wants Love AND Safety
Father, cover the woman who desires healthy love but has learned to survive by controlling everything around her.
She says she wants to feel safe—but Lord, show her where safety has quietly become control.
Where “I’m just independent” really means, I don’t trust anybody to show up for me.
Where “I know what I want” sometimes means, I’m terrified of being disappointed again.
Where she prays for partnership but struggles to release the steering wheel long enough to actually receive partnership.
No pretending, Lord. Expose it so You can heal it.
Teach her that healthy love doesn’t require her to abandon wisdom, boundaries or discernment—but it will require vulnerability.
Whether she’s 27, 47, 67 or 77, remind her: You know what she needs.
Keep her from choosing the wrong person because she’s tired of waiting—and from rejecting the right kind of love simply because she cannot control how it arrives.
Give her the courage to say:
“I don’t have to control everything to be safe.”
And if marriage is part of her journey, prepare her not only to recognize healthy love—but to be emotionally available enough to receive it.
