We want to give a huge thank you to the team at Lowe's Home Improvement for showing up for our Clovis Club! Boys & Girls Club of Clovis

Their team rolled up their sleeves to give our gym a fresh coat of paint, donated and assembled benches to create more outdoor seating for our members, and provided a new grill.

Community building 💪🏗️🧱

Yesterday, we kicked off our 2027 Youth of the Year competition. Teens from across the county got to learn about the competition process and take their first steps towards representing their Clubs.

We hope you are just as excited as we are for 2027 YOY!

Bravo Top Chef , we’re coming for you!

Our two youngest competitors at Boys & Girls Club of Reedley stepped into the kitchen and cooked their way to 2nd place! 🥈🏆

During the competition, Club members planned their meals, created grocery lists, budgeted for ingredients, and brought their dishes to life.

This is part of our program where our members build confidence in the kitchen while learning about nutrition and balanced meals. They’re also learning that cooking for yourself is an important life skill and that making healthy choices can be both rewarding and fun!

If you’ve ever spent time around Ron Zisler, you know pretty quickly that he’s someone who cares deeply about kids.

For over 32 years, Ron has shown up for thousands of young people at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County. Through sports, he’s helped kids find confidence and discover what they’re capable of.

He has coached countless teams, celebrated big wins, encouraged kids through the losses, and continued to show up year after year. He is someone who has spent his career making sure there was always room for one more kid.

At our Boots Out for Kids Gala, we surprised Ron with this video. There’s no way to capture 32 years of impact in just a few minutes, but we are so happy to share a small glimpse of what Ron has meant to generations of Club Kids.

Thank you, Ron, for putting kids first, every single time.

Some people leave a lasting mark on an organization. Others leave one on an entire community. At our Boots Out for Kids Gala, we took a moment to recognize the people who have given so much to our Clubs.

We are incredibly grateful to Ron Zisler, Tommy Lowe and Kim Ozuna, the inaugural recipients of the Ken & Muriel Quenzer Lifetime Achievement Award. Each of these individuals has dedicated over 30 years to help shape who we are as an organization today.

We also celebrated Lisa Nilmeier as she concluded four years of service as our Board Chair. Lisa, thank you for leading with heart, believing in our mission and helping guide our organization forward. We are so grateful for your leadership and the lasting impact you’ve made.

And then there was Nazaih, our 2026 Fresno County Youth of the Year. Nazaih may not realize it yet, but she is already leaving a lasting mark on our community. We are so proud to hear her speak and continue to inspire the young people (and adults) around her!

Thank you for putting on your boots and supporting Boys & Girls Clubs of Fresno County! We continue to be blown away by how you show up for our youth! To all of our sponsors, volunteers, vendors, staff, and every single person who played a part in making our 30th Gala so spectacular, THANK YOU!
