My sister Neto was strong smart and courageous. When she was 13 years old she took me to enroll kindergarten school at Cantua Elementary. We both graduated from 8th grade at Westside in 5 points. When I was old enough to work we picking cotton, tomatoes in Sacramento, picked plums in Colusa. We also worked in Healdsburg she was sorting hops and I was picking plums. We did this during our school vacation. When she got married she settled in Madera in a 2 room house, she started her family and later in years they build their home where she lived on Rd 28. When her husband started in the trucking business, he would work seasonal at El Centro and my sister would get all her children and drive to El Centro she did that for years. She worked hard helping her husband in the trucking business. She was a good mother to all her children. I had the pleasure of taking a few trips with her, we went to Reno, Las Vegas,Laughlin, Oregon, Seattle,Washington DC, New York ,Cancun, Maui and Pismo. She traveled to Greece where she got to ride a camel. She also traveled to Italy with her daughter in law Lisa Mazon. She traveled all over Mexico with her husband and other family members. I do much miss my sister, but I have so many wonderful memories of her. Rest in peace my beautiful sister. I love you very much.
