This engaging virtual seminar goes beyond basic Spanish phrases to explore practical communication strategies for real-world imaging scenarios. Attendees will learn essential Spanish phrases for patient interactions, positioning, and breathing instructions; the C-3 Method: Communicate, Confirm, and Comfort; practical applications in radiography, CT, and MRI; and when a qualified medical interpreter is needed.

• How to evaluate common clinical tasks within your scope of practice
• Resources that support safe, ethical practice and help reduce professional encroachment

Shellie Pike has worked in medical imaging for 26 years and currently practices as a Radiologist Assistant in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. In addition to serving as ASRT President-Elect, she has served on the ACR Blue Ribbon Panel of Fluoroscopy Safety, the Consensus Committee on the Future of Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy, and has been actively involved with ARRT and numerous professional organizations.
