Erma Martens was not just a pioneering figure; she was an essential pillar in the founding of CCMRS, a reflection of her extraordinary vision and unwavering commitment that she shared with her husband, Wilfred, as integral members of the founding team. Their legacy is beautifully carried on by their daughter, Linda, who has embraced this community as her own for many years. While we take a moment to grieve the peaceful passing of Erma, we also come together to celebrate her vibrant life and the profound influence she had on everyone fortunate enough to know her. Friends and family are warmly invited to honor her memory at the Memorial Service scheduled for Saturday, November 16th at 11:00 a.m. at the tranquil Willow Avenue Mennonite Church. Following the service, a comforting lunch reception will be held in the Fellowship Hall, where attendees will share cherished stories and memories, ensuring that Erma’s inspiring spirit continues to resonate in our hearts and lives.

The family has designated CCMRS for memorial gifts.

Greetings Friends of CCMRS,

The CCMRS Board would like to update our constituents and interested parties on the status of the operational leadership of CCMRS. As many of you know, Jen Foster resigned as Executive Director of CCMRS at the end of December, and has accepted a position with Kings View in their disability services department. To assist with this transition, Kings View has agreed to a "Management Services Agreement" with CCMRS to contract
some of Jen’s time so she can continue as the acting Executive Director of CCMRS for the immediate future. Current CCMRS staff members have stepped up to support the operations and services provided by CCMRS, with Jen making sure all the day to day activities are being well managed.

As a Board, we believe the current status of CCMRS is stable and the future for CCMRS is exciting. While we look to new directions for the organization, we will continue to keep you informed. Feel free to email myself or Jen ([email protected]) with any questions you may have.
