A NEW CHAPTER OF OUTREACH HAS BEGUN!

This past Saturday, we officially kicked off our newest outreach program at the El Cazador Apartments with a community coat drive in collaboration with CarePortal Fresno !

Together, we were able to serve over 14 families, distribute more than 38 coats and clothing items, and register 21 kids for our upcoming outreach program!

But this event was about more than just giving away coats and clothes. It was an opportunity to build relationships with families, connect with kids, and lay the foundation for the work we’re getting ready to do in this neighborhood.

We’re excited for what’s ahead as we continue working to change the narrative of crime, dysfunction, and violence, one child and one family at a time!

A huge thank you to CarePortal, our volunteers, and everyone who helped make this event possible!

We’re excited to walk alongside them as they grow in their faith, build friendships, and discover how God can use their lives. Join us in praying for them as they begin this new chapter! 💛

New friends, a little friendly competition, and time together! 🏈🏀

Through our Church Access Program, we help kids get connected to a church community where they can build friendships, grow in their faith, and find a place to belong.

These photos capture some of those friendships taking shape—on the football field, on the basketball court, and in the moments in between. 💛

Our Discipleship Academy families got their first look at our new building during our 2026–2027 Parent Orientation! 🙌

We brought students, parents, and mentors together to walk through the space and get ready for the year ahead. We’ve been working hard behind the scenes, and getting to finally share this place with our families meant so much.

Thank you to Youth for Christ Fresno/Madera for partnering with us as we continue making discipleship accessible. And to our parents—thank you for trusting us to walk alongside your kids. We’re excited to see what God does this year! 💛

Meet 14 of our newest Discipleship Academy students! 🙌💛 These students just had their pictures taken at our 2026–2027 Parent Orientation, and we’re excited to walk alongside them as they grow in their faith, discover their gifts, and learn to follow Jesus.

These photos will also be featured on their FACES Sponsorship cards, which will be going out soon! Each card represents a student you can help us walk with through this journey.

Every face has a name. Every name matters.

Stay tuned for how you can get involved and help make discipleship accessible!

We’re getting ready to launch outreach at El Cazador Apartments! 🙌

Our team recently spent time praying and walking through the complex as we prepare to meet families and begin building relationships in this community. We’re excited to share the love of Jesus and walk alongside the kids and families who call El Cazador home.

We’re kicking things off with a coat drive in partnership with CarePortal Fresno on Saturday, October 17, from 10 AM–1 PM! 🧥💛

Want to help out or contribute coats? Send us a message! Please join us in praying for this community and the relationships that will begin here.

Church Access this week 💛

A game of volleyball, a meal together, and time to connect. These moments are part of how we build relationships and walk alongside our students.

Through Church Access, we help young people get connected to a local church, grow in their faith, and build relationships with people who will keep showing up for them.

Thank you to everyone helping make these weekly connections possible. Together, we’re making discipleship accessible in Fresno.

Every week, we're giving kids access to church! 🙏 Shoutout to and for making it happen. And yes — sometimes that means a McDonald's run afterward too! 🍟

Huge thank you to every person who supports the FACES of Urban Story — you're the reason kids across Fresno get this access every single week.
