🧡 Help MUDDYEYES bless our community this Thanksgiving!

On Saturday, November 21, from 11 AM–2 PM, we’ll gather at Parkway Drive and Dennett to share food, testimonies, resources and the love of Jesus with our neighbors. We’re preparing to feed 200 guests plus our helpers—250 meals total!

The list below shows the food and supplies we need, with an estimated budget of $2,100. If you can donate an item, help cover a cost or volunteer, you can message me, Kathryn Barron or Stacey. Every contribution helps!

Please keep this outreach in prayer and share this post. Thank you for helping MUDDYEYES serve our community. 🙏🧡

🦃🍂 I can’t believe Thanksgiving is right around the corner! And do you know what that means?!
You guessed it! ❤️ MUDDYEYES is getting ready for our annual Thanksgiving event for our friends on Parkway! 🙏
This year, we’re blessed with the opportunity to serve 200+ people a Thanksgiving meal and spend some time loving on our community. 🥰
Thanksgiving is about so much more than a meal. It’s about coming together, showing love, giving thanks, and reminding people that they are seen, valued, and cared for. ❤️
We are so excited and thankful that God continues to give MUDDYEYES opportunities to serve. We couldn’t do what we do without everyone who supports us, prays for us, and helps make these events possible.
200+ meals. One community. One heart to serve. ❤️
We can’t wait to see our friends on Parkway and celebrate Thanksgiving together! 🦃🍽️🙏

Founded by Gilbert and Stacey, MUDDYEYES is a faith-driven ministry serving families and children in Fresno. We bring food, clothing, hygiene essentials, school supplies, and encouragement to neighbors experiencing homelessness or rebuilding their lives in local motels.

I’m standing here looking at a vacant building across the street from The Flats, where RH Community Builders shelters families with children. I can picture what MUDDYEYES could do here: provide food and clothing, activities for the kids, and a place for them to learn and grow.

I don’t know who owns the building or what the plans are for it, and MUDDYEYES doesn’t have the money to purchase it. But I’m putting this out there in faith. Maybe someone knows the owner, knows the building’s situation, or could help us find a way to use it to serve this community.

If you can point me in the right direction, please reach out. We don’t say, “Come here.” We say, “Where can we go?” This is one place I’d love for us to go. ❤️

The staff at The Flats do a great job with the children and families there. We just want to contribute more.

Yesterday, I shared how seeing a blind man reminded me of MUDDYEYES. In that moment, I felt God telling me, “Everything is going to be OK. I’m not done with you. This is just the beginning.”

I also shared the challenges we’ve faced with our past due balance at the California Food Bank. And boy, have the floodgates opened! Our good friend Dr. Wyatt stepped up as soon as I posted, continuing his generous support of MUDDYEYES. Then we received an unexpected check in the mail.

This morning, I opened an email from Katie Wilbur, executive director of RH Community Builders. She had seen my Facebook post about our Food Bank balance and shared that she had spoken with Brad Hardie. They want to help MUDDYEYES pay down that balance and take part in our Thanksgiving event.

We also want to thank Elizabeth Lopez Sierra, whom we call Liz, from Fresno Housing Authority. We received your contribution this morning, too. Stacey and I are so thankful for this blessing.

Brad and Katie, we are grateful for you both. Every motel we walk into, the staff treats us with such kindness and hospitality. And Dr. Wyatt, we love you! Many blessings to you and Karen.

To Liz and everyone at Fresno Housing, thank you for the warmth and love you show us and for your willingness to help put these events together. I hope you’re ready for Christmas! Bless you all.

Thank you all for reminding us to keep going. ❤️

And here’s the news I almost forgot to share: JESUS PAID IT ALL! We’ve received enough support to cover our balance with the California Food Bank! 🙌 I still need to call them to make the payment 😀
