Les Michaud Family Reunion 2014 Pres. Bernard Michaud presented a check of $325.00 to St.
Agatha Town Manager Christy Sirois for upkeep of the “Gazebo/Centennial Park”.

Les Michaud Family Reunion 2014 Pres. Bernard Michaud presented a check of $2,000.00 to Our Lady of the Valley” Sec. Martha Michaud For “St. Michael Chapel Roof Fund”.

Les Michaud Family Reunion 2014 did it again. As they are closing their books they have donated over $2,365.67. $325.00 to the Town of St Agatha for the upkeep of the “Gazebo/Centennial Park”. They also made a donation of $2,000.00 + $40.67 cash to “Our lady of The Valley” for “St. Michael Chapel Roof Fund”.
Les Michaud Family Reunion would like to thank all that Register close to 700 and especially those that came, over 450. Yes Thank You to all that also donated cash, time and in-kind which made it possible for us to give back.

First Ancestor



Most Michauds in North America are descende from a single individual, Pierre Micheau (or Michel) dit Michaud, an immigrant from Poitou -- region of western France. The name Michaud itself actually mean 'little Michael', and as such, has been adopted by other French "Michael" families around the world at various time.



Pierre born in 1637, the family live in Fontenay-le-Comte. The son of Anthoisne Michel and Marie Train. Pierre had brothers Thomas and Ethienne who stayed in France.



Pierre Micheau was but 19 years of age when he got of the boat in New France (Quebec) which he settled at Cote de Beaupre till 1665. In 1667 He Married Marie Ancelin which was born May 7, 1651 daughter of Rene Ancelin and Claire Rausselot. (Who had came to New france in 1656
