Just after 1am company 21 was alerted to a possible structure fire along shawville Frenchville hwy. As deputy 21 left his residence he discovered that it was his neighbors camp. Knowing personally that the driveway was steep and icy deputy 21 requested 2nd alarm tankers and began requesting brush units, attacks, and brush tankers to access the fire.
Deputy 21 and 2 other members responded brush 21. Once in scene it was found that the structure was completely on the ground just one addition wall with 3 exposed propane tanks. Brush 21 was put to work to attemp to knock down the flames of the remaining wall and stop the tanks from heating. Unfortunately with only 300 gallons of water and backup still in route the attempt was unsuccessful. As additional manpower from mutal companies walked the driveway and arrived the tanks began to off gas. With no water supply the decision was made to evacuate crew to a safer spot until the tanks released and burned off the gas.
Girard township was requested to stone the ice on the driveway and finally additional units made it to the top. Crews operated to extinguish the fire.

UPDATE
ROGER HAS ASKED US TO SLOW DOWN ON DONATIONS AS HE'S GETTING OVERWHELMED WITH THINGS. THANK YOU TO ALL THOSE THAT HAVE DONATED.

Attention to our local community. This evening just after 3pm we were alerted to a structure fire on Gillingham Road. Smoke and flames showing. The local resident who thankfully was not home at the time. Has lost everything in the fire. With the cold winter upon us and the holiday season knocking on the door you can image this tragedy creates tough times for our community member. If you would like to donate to help him out donations of clothing and basic living supplies are greatly appreciated. Items are for a male. Donations can be dropped off anytime at Redwood Inn LLC between 3pm and 8pm Tuesday thru Saturday.
The following Donations are needed. As stated this is for a man.

Shirts, jackets, coats L XL
(2x coats are too big he was given on already)

Pants size 36 32

Shoes size 10-10½

Basic hygiene supplies

Blankets and pillows

A tv.

All other kind of Donations also will be accepted.

As stated Donation drop off is At Redwood Inn

We will have members giving out candy in front of the station for trick or treat night for girard township. 6pm to 8pm October 31st.

Busy afternoon for station 21. The afternoon started off with members and brush 21 going to Karthaus Vol. Fire Co. Event the backwoods revival concert to assist with parking cars and anything else they needed help with. Upon arrival there members placed cones and began to get ready to park cars. Just before 2pm tones dropped for a outside fire along the railroad tracks on the down river side of deer creek. Brush 21 with a crew of 3 responded. After locating the fire along side deputy 20 it was learned that the fire was in a secluded hard to reach area. Utvs began to be requested by deputy 20. Brush 21 returned to the station and hooked up utv 21. A 4th member also joined the call. Utv21 and Brush 21 returned to deer creek rd and utv 21 attempted to gain access via rail. That attemp was un successful. Members then rode down the rail with rj corman. Once at the fire members worked with other crews to fire the fire. Command deemed the fight from the bottom a loosing battle and crews pulled out. Utv 21 then returned to the top of the mountain to gain access. Utv 21 gained access with other crews at the top of the mountain and began fire suppression efforts by supplying water to the hand crews. Unfortunately after awhile part of our pump got broken and utv21 was unable to supply water. Then even more unfortunate utv 21 would not start. Our fuel pump just had enough and decided to quit. Now stranded with no way to get utv21 started the members walked back out. Members then met with a crew from Snow Shoe Fire Company who gladly took their utv down in to tow utv21 out to the command post. After being towed out utv 21 was able to be accessed by brush 21 and the trailer. We would like to extend thanks to snow shoe centre 6 for helping us out. Once back at the station members installed a new spare fuel pump and utv21 is back in service.

Yesterday even Engine 21 with a crew of 3 responded to a tractor fire in a field in the 21k box. Tanker 20 from Karthaus Vol. Fire Co. Was requested for water supply. Station 5 of clearfield was also dispatched. Upon arrival it was found that the fire was not spreading much and Engine 21 crew was able to suppress the tractor and surrounding grass. Tanker 20 and company 5 were canceled and the box held to Engine 21.
