Please message our page or email us at [email protected] if you have any questions!

Roles Available:

HEIDI - a 40-something woman contemplating America's founding document.
LEGIONNAIRE - adult male, a proud member of American Legion Post 10 in Wenatchee, WA.
TEEN DEBATER - playing age 15-18, girl or non-binary

A couple of notes on the content of this production:
Heidi Schreck’s What the Constitution Means to Me, blends memoir and debate to examine systemic and personal trauma, including domestic violence, sexual assault, partner abuse, and reproductive rights, through the lens of U.S. constitutional law. Weaving personal stories with legal history, the play is emotionally resonant and politically powerful. There are some infrequent instances of profanity and mature political expressions.

WHAT THE CONSTITUTION MEANS TO ME is presented by arrangement with Concord Theatricals on behalf of Samuel French, Inc.

Looking for a unique local production to take part in this winter season? We are taking a moment this Giving Tuesday to share an auditions opportunity for our partner Gateway Regional Arts Center!

Come out to audition for GRAC's production of "The Sweet Life: The Ruth Hunt Story: A Live Radio Play" this week December 3rd and 4th at 6-8 PM at GRAC. Sign up for auditions at www.grackentucky.org/auditions

🎭 AUDITION ANNOUNCEMENT: The Sweet Life: The Ruth Hunt Story - A Live Radio Play 🎭

✨WORLD PREMIERE✨
A brand new play written by Cat Goguen
Directed by Jordan Campbell

Audition Dates (choose ONE):
• Wednesday, December 3rd | 6–8 PM
• Thursday, December 4th | 6-8 PM
Performance Dates: February 6-7 & 12-13, 2026

🍬Who can audition?
Anyone age 5 and up. This show features youth and adult roles!

🍬What should I prepare?
No prior preparation needed. Auditonees will participate in theatre exercises and cold read from the script. Be ready to begin at 6pm sharp. Auditionees will stay until released by the director.

🍬What is the show about?
Step back in time for a charming live radio play that tells the inspiring story of Ruth Hunt, the beloved founder of Ruth Hunt Candies. Experience how one woman’s homemade cream candy recipe grew into a Kentucky confectionery legacy through determination, kindness, and a sprinkle of sugar. Complete with classic radio sound effects and vintage flair, this performance celebrates local history, entrepreneurship, and the power of community tradition—one sweet story at a time.

A live radio play is a performance that feels like an old-fashioned radio show brought to life on stage. Instead of relying on sets or costumes, the story is told through the actors’ voices, live sound effects, and music—all performed in front of the audience. Actors read from scripts, so there’s no need to memorize lines or do much physical acting. The focus is on using your voice, timing, and creativity to make the audience “hear” the story come alive.
