Christie was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and has undergone a lumpectomy and lymphnode removal. She will also need radiation treatments as part of her recovery. Navigating cancer treatment has been overwhelming, especially while also serving as the primary caregiver for her husband Michael, who is living with ALS.
Because ALS has taken away much of his physical ability, he requires daily care and assistance. While Christie does everything she can to care for him herself, she must also pay for additional caregiving help so that he can remain safe at home—especially during times when she is at medical appointments or recovering from treatment.
The funds would help them cover caregiving expenses and medical-related costs while she focus on healing and continuing to care for her husband.
They are incredibly thankful for the compassion and generosity shown by this community during such a challenging season of their lives.
