This property was donated to us by our partners at the Orange County Commissioners. When we received it, the property had an abandoned building on the lot as well as overgrown foliage. Purdue Extension Orange County will offer a ServSafe Food Manager Certification training and examination on Friday, August 14, 2026.

The one-day course provides food safety education for food service managers, employees, and business owners and fulfills Indiana requirements for Certified Food Protection Managers. Topics include foodborne illness prevention, personal hygiene, food storage, food preparation, sanitation, and pest management.

Participants who successfully complete the exam with a score of 70 percent or higher will receive a certification valid for five years.
