Exciting growth for Orange County!

Congratulations to OCEDP member River View Farms on its expansion in Orleans, which is expected to create up to 63 new jobs by the end of 2029. This fifth-generation family business is expanding its egg and swine operations, doubling its egg grading capacity and creating additional opportunities for local agricultural partners.

OCEDP is proud to support this project through our Catalyst Fund, which was developed to advance business growth and major community projects that contribute to long-term economic success. River View Farms’ decision to grow here at home reflects its deep roots in Orleans and continued commitment to our community. We appreciate their investment in Orange County and look forward to the opportunities this expansion will bring!

OCEDP traveled to Loogootee to attend a Destination Identity Workshop, hosted by the Martin County Alliance!

The workshop provided a great opportunity to explore the importance of community identity, discover ways to highlight what makes our communities unique, and gain fresh perspectives on promoting the places we call home.

Congratulations to two of our dedicated community members, Chris & Brandy Terrell, who were recognized at the 2026 Regional Opportunity Initiatives Report to the Region for their work on Court Street Commons, recipient of the 2026 Indiana Uplands Quality of Place Innovation Award!

Court Street Commons is a wonderful example of what can happen when community members invest their time, vision, and passion into creating spaces that enhance quality of place and strengthen our community.
