Clear Lake Township Land Conservancy We work to preserve, protect, and manage the natural Clear Lake environment for future generations.

The Clear Lake Township Land Conservancy is a small, community-supported, nonprofit land conservation organization located at Clear Lake in Fremont of Steuben County, nestled in the northeast corner of Indiana where Indiana, Ohio and Michigan come together. An all-volunteer Board of Directors guides the work of CLTLC. With help from a generous community, together we protect and preserve just under

100 acres, conduct water quality monitoring to guide our water quality enhancement efforts, and we organize a variety of workshops, events, and outings that encourage youth and the community to think about nature and our environment.

Caring for water quality is a global effort! With 87% of Earth's water locked in salty oceans, freshwater is a limited resource. Even further, most of this freshwater is frozen in glaciers and stored underground, bringing surface water to just over 1% of Earth's water. Clean water is essential to human life, and water conservation is an effort far greater than we realize. 💧
